Think this is a bit overreaching, he played the ball across the 18 yard box and he also played it behind Kane, who readjusted well and showed the difference being a world class striker makes as he used it to his advantage.
I'm not saying this to criticise Eriksen but just feel that's overstating it a bit and that doesn't take away from the fact he played a big part in both goals. Now Lamela's pass to Son vs Leicester, that was sublime.
Thanks for proving my point. The whole build up was a perfect counter attack and i have no idea how anyone can call it overreaching. Eriksen had to first time it with the outside of his weak foot to even get it to Kane. It was brilliant and for a second showed us what we have missed from peak Eriksen.
You rarely see goals as good as that, perfect from the front 3 and you show that when you want to teach kids about counter attacking football.
The only reason people are trying to undermine the goal is because Eriksen was involved. I don’t know if it’s sad or hilarious to see people jumping through hoops to not talk about it. Maybe a bit of both...
