Only if the terms of the option payments require them to be all up front. Which we don’t know and IMO would be poor contractually on the part of Atalanta.

All ITKs seem to be certain Romero is happening, as do the press in Argentina, for whatever that’s worth. Everyone needs to calm down a little.

Getting Romero & Tomiyasu signed this week, with perhaps 1 or 2 out, would be excellent.

Yeah not quite the news we were hoping for, I would be beyond gutted if it fell through at this stage. Feels like the chance to sign a proper top CB who can go on to be world class and be our lynchpin at the back. If we don't get him and we end up with the likes of Vestegard etc, would be so typical of our luck.

Just have to hope Paratici uses all of his nous and experience to get it over the line. I do feel more confident with him leading negotiations. He is Italian, he knows how it all works over there.
