The slate is not cleaned - it just means he will not get a two game ban for getting to 10 yellows. He can still get a 3 game ban for getting to 15 before the end of the season.

So 2 games before we can chill a little but not entirely. 8 games left, if he picked up 7 yellows in those that would be quite something ?

Ohh thats a big statement - Verts was probably the best defender we have had in the modern era for me (since King anyway) but Romero certainly looks like he could be at least as good and he is still very young for a defender so plenty of time to get even better.

His only weakness is his tenacity and short fuse, and I wouldn't call that a weakness. Like Rooney or other players of that ilk - that is his spark. You take that away and part of the player dies.

What is it with the Argies? I absolutely love their attitude to the game. Win at all costs or die trying mentality.

I loved Ledley, then loved Jan and Toby this guy could be the best of them alll if he stays fit and with us for a few years.

The way he plays….he radiates calm composure to every other player.
He, Kane and Bentacour are teaching the rest how to be composed on the ball.

Romero is a beautiful Assassin...

Romero can do a hit job on anyone and make them look 2nd class....and on next play, be the most composed on the pitch on ball and pass the ball out with quality...and in next play can be beyond Kane in box trying to score.

Van Dijk & Ruben Dias can both try to tie the each boots of Romero.

One of the best CB performances I’ve seen in all of football for a while. Was completely faultless and dominant out of possession and just class on it. Made Saint-Maximin look Sunday league and some moments like the outside of the foot pass to Kulusevski just excellent.

An absolute animal first half. Proper defender now he’s settled into the league. Let’s hope that loan to full transfer deal is fucking watertight.
