Got about 15 minutes at the end of the game yesterday, Ipswich and Leicester are running away with the two automatic promotion places ten points clear already so I guess they're a good side which I guess is restricting his playing time.

The championship is a gruelling league. He’ll get his chances at some point through injury or rotation at the very least.

Why did he not make their squad tonight? Surely not to prevent cup tying him

Came on as a sub 2 goals down at 73 mins. away at Birmingham,
they turned the game and drew 2-2.
Scarlett played through the final assist maker with a fine pass.

Not in The squad today - injured? If not, not great. Even though the can’t play for another team I think it would be better recall him, and then loan Veliz out towards the end of the window.

otherwise it will be another 6 months wasted

I think this has been a reality check of where he’s really at as a player tbh. There’s a massive gulf in class even between the U21 league and the championship. He’s a decent young player but the odds are stacked against him making it with us tbh, he doesn’t have enough about him generally as a player. Not currently big enough, strong enough, fast enough or good enough technically to make an impact in high level men’s football. He’s gonna have to develop physically quite a bit to have any chance of being a squad player for us, not out of the realm of possibility but he’s currently a long way off.

On the day that Ipswich finally blow up and go 3-0 down at HT. Dane not even in the squad. Not sure if injured but he would prob have got 30 mins today. Now 4-0. Might get a chance in next few games. Been waiting all season for Ipswich to blow up. Done so well straight up and up to the top of the Champ.
Cannot remember the last time any team went straight through from lge one to prem lge.

Bit weird that someone else's manager is coming up with stories about our situation to make it sound like that's why Dane's coming back when he's hardly played him.

Not been on their bench after we agreed his return. Now their striker has apparently done his hamstring. Good timing.

I’d imagine we are recalling to sort him out with another loan.

Well now they have an injury. But looking at the first half of the season he might get just as many minutes with us. Played that Fulham game for us, only 140 or so minutes at Ipswich.

I find myself thinking is it going to happen for him but then remember a certain Harry Kane. Maybe he might be better staying at the club and both him and we might get lucky.

Seems to be the case but Harry didn’t look anything particularly special at a similar age
