Seems to be the case but Harry didn’t look anything particularly special at a similar age
Harry was scoring at all his loan clubs, I think he was top scorer at Millwall so the comparison doesn't really work. Hopefully he will get proper coaching when he gets back and we'll get a better idea.

This season for Scarlett is the same that Kane sat mostly on the bench for Leicester in Championship.

I don’t think the constant comparisons to Kane are going to help him. Kane was a fluke occurance, a once in fifty years type player that lots of people wrote off. That’s not going to be the trajectory of 99% of players.

Even if he’s not scoring these loans will still be beneficial, look at Parrott, didn’t pull up too many trees on his loans but seems to have found his feet in the Dutch league.

Kane looked miles better than Scarlett. I’m not gonna lie, this general idea that Kane didn’t look great at a young age is just flat out wrong. I remember seeing him play at Portman Rd for Millwall and he absolutely ran the show at 18 years old. It was clear he was the best player on the pitch by miles even at that age.

I don't know how much you can read into his recall tbh. The fact he's getting no minutes is more than reason enough to bring him back regardless of the squad situation.

Scarlett has a real opportunity after a disappointing loan at Ipswich. Richarlison, the only other recognised striker, often runs himself tired and has only completed the full 90 twice this season.

He has had an excellent youth career, but the buzz has faded a bit after failing to impress during his loan spells.

Playing in Ange's system should suit him, where the striker tends to have the fewest touches in the team. He doesn't have to worry too much about target play, but instead can focus on his strengths, which are his movement and finishing with both feet. If the team can provide him with high quality chances I back him to score some goals if given the chance.

It will be interesting to see him in a team creating lots more chances for sure. I always felt he just needed to get himself a goal and they would start to flow.

At Leyton Orient, despite doing alright, the owners thought he would never make a PL player, they thought Championship level at best.

At Norwich he broke his leg (didn't score for them).

At Leicester, he was very poor.

He did do well as a second striker at Millwall, but didn't show anything to suggest he would end up at the level he has reached.

Let's not pretend all his loans were a success.

I've always felt Scarlett looked like he lacked a bit of pace whenever I've seen him. Could be wrong as that's only during first team minutes but that was the impression I got that he wasn't the quickest.

I saw him when he played for Portsmouth and although it was lower level he looked to have something. Not blistering pace but quick enough and excellent touch

Ipswich’s starting striker is now out injured. Recalling Scarlett starting to look like a poor decision…

I thought he didn't look out of place yesterday. The game was stretched, but he pressed well, a few good combinations and almost scored.
