Just seen head on of the goal. Side angle makes it look much worse. He actually pushes Rondon off line but not enough to stop him getting shot off. A mistake in hindsight as prob should have tackled him.

Was poor today.
Completely disagree.

Had a major battle for sure but I think he handled it well. Won lots of tackles/challenges.

Did you notice Dier was picking up Rondon at first but couldn’t handle it so Sanchez took over.

I don't think Davinson did much better. Was bullied today. I don't understand how anyone can disagree. I think he's an awesome player but today wasn't his best.

I disagree because I think you’re wrong. I’m not one to say he played good when he doesn’t but for bar the goal he battled Rondon well while covering acres of the field when we pushed forward.

Towards the end he was literally our only defender.

Bullied how ? One challenge? Which I’ve already explained looked much worse from side than behind goal.

The mistake was all down to inexperience. He thought he could brush Rondon off the ball, nip in front and then take the ball. Unfortunately he ended up not knocking Rondon off of his stride and losing sight of the ball.

He'll learn from it and in future will make sure he knows his opponents strength before deciding to go for the man (shoulder barge) or ball first.

I think that was his first challenge with Rondon and he actually got the better of him after that which is a good sign. It's a shame that he didn't get an opportunity to measure up with Rondon first because if he had I think he'd have been more cautious.

Rondon did get the better of him a few times, but he’s a strong guy!

I think it’s important to remember that Sanchez has been used to playing in leagues where he’s probably the strongest player in it. He won’t be able to brush certain players off that ball in the PL and I’m sure he’ll adapt.

Apart from coming out second best against Rondon for their goal I thought he did well in the game today.

Actually just saw another angle on goals on Sunday. Sanchez is actually marginally infront of Rondon. He attempts to play the ball but mistimes it and sort of goes over the ball is off balance and Rondon actually pushes him in back rather than a shoulder barge. On another 10 occasions he’d prob win the ball and be lorded, was a touch unlucky. Nothing to do with being out strengthened imo more timing and a push in the back.

Mainly as Poch switched to 4-2-3-1 after 20 mins and Dier moved into CM

He's going to make mistakes. Every central defender does, especially one that's only 21 years old. He could have handled the challenge better, but that does nothing to change my view on him as a player overall. I thought he played well and I loved seeing his hustle to retrieve the ball that was played over the top time and time again just so he could turn around and try to get the attack moving.

Davidson has been great for us. A few scary opening game moments at the start of the season but he's been consistently good.

Yesterday he should have done better, he will know That, but so should have Alli and Lloris too.

Considering the amount of games he's already played and his age one bad game moment is fine

He did play OK for most of the game, but he was partially at fault with the goal. He should have dealt with the situation by poke the ball out for a corner, but he seemed more intent on muscling Rondon & got caught out, because guy was strong enough to fend him off, He's young, so I hope he'll learn from this & take the safety first option next time.
