Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

Story of his career. Will look great for 2-3 games and then the next game so poor. Too inconsistent, not reliable, and can’t build up from back. We need to sell and bring in someone who fits the system.

It’s fairly simple.

We hoped he was good enough.

after a few years he proved conclusively that he wasn’t.

he shows glimpses of form and quality. Then followed up by the player we see most weeks over the last several years.

if he stays, he will have some good games and moments. But he will have a lot more average to poor games and moments.

conclusion…. Do not just Sell, but replace.

It’s crazy how he can let us down in huge cup games year after year like clockwork, but after one half decent performance we get the whole “we should keep him” “he fits the system” comments. He doesn’t fit any system that has the ambitions of a top 4 club. Thanks for your service but get rid ASAP.

People do realise that others only want him to stay (as fourth choice) because he’s the best fit of the options we have and we’re unlikely to sign 3 cbs in a window.

‘Get rid asap’ will just leave you with one of Tanganga/Dier instead.

Well, he's still better than Dier and Tanganga, we cannot sell/loan all 3 even if we signed a CB. Of the 3 he's still the one I'd prefer

I think that's an indication of where we are as a squad unfortunately. Clearly Sanchez isn't good enough, but the alternatives are Dier and Tanganga... We desperately need replacements.

Just as an example, Tim Ream playing for Fulham this evening - incredibly consistent and just shows there are players out there who would be an improvement and not cost a fortune

Give him a year or two on our bench and let's see what's left of him

No Spurs fan alive would have picked him to take a penalty within the first 5. Unfathomable.

Get him out yesterday. Single-handedly knocks us out of one cup every year. Absolute liability - and I don't say that lightly.

Fair play to him for taking one, but he never should have been in the top five. Poor from Scarlett and Hojbjerg to not have one before him.
