My only reservation from the limited amount I’ve seen is that he’s another that’s not exactly easy on the eye,

Got similar vibes when I've seen him play on the odd occasion. Didn't look the silkiest of players and was almost mechanical/functional in the way he operated, which isn't necessarily a bad thing in the right setup. Not seen enough of him to have a proper opinion though.

One thing I did notice is that he seems to be a willing runner with decent height and strength so maybe has the raw attributes to give himself half a chance in the EPL. Still only 21 so maybe the idea is for Conte to work with him and develop his game.

His postion map is interesting seems he’s played literally every position in a front 6. With his physical attributes might end up a good box to box midfielder who can assist and score. Would definitely not be against signing him.

He's a bit of a hmmm signing for me. At 21 he's got time on his side, so we're not buying the finished article, but there's not a lot to go on that is saying he will be a roaring success. He is a big guy, so I think he'll be fine getting to grips with the league.

Sounds ideal to compete for that right forward role. Not sure about swapping Lo Celso though as would leave us short in CM. I would prefer to let Ndombele go as not convinced he can play in midfield 2 like Lo Celso. He and Alli I would let go ahead of Lo Celso.

you would keep a player who is never fit

realistically who would take los celso?
I think the lads got talent but his never fit.

He’s not the quickest but he’s very strong, possesses a decent amount of skill and can both cross and shoot (controlled finishes). We’re lacking someone other than Kane who can hold the ball up and secondly remain composed to do something positive with the ball. I’m all for this signing.

Interesting that people say Dejan would be a flop but spending 40-50m for adama is totally worth it when Dejan had 17 goals/assists last year as a 20year old (fist season at juve) Does Adama even have 17 goals and assists over his whole career ?

Dejan is also not some kind of a "spoiled party boy" like many of the other young talents coming up right now is. He has e true winners mentality

I think Adama's fee was going to be £20m as his contract runs down

I could see us bolstering the squad with new forwards.

Clarke, Alli, Bergwijn could certainly be sold, which would only leave us with Kane, Son and Lucas as certs and Gil as an 'up and coming' player (who could even be loaned next season).

Haven't seen anything of this guy though apart from YT clips; looks big and strong though.

The whole “not cut out for the Prem” is a bit nonsense and outdated now. A player that I’ve been really impressed with over the last few weeks has been Odegaard (shame he is a gooner), yet he would the typical player described as not cut out for this league.

Dejan is big, strong, clever on the ball, very hardworking and has a lovely left foot and is still only 21 years old. Lots to work with.

Surely the hardest thing to do in a limited amount of time in Jan get all parties to agree to this. Would have to already got everyone to agree by now for this to happen
I don't think that's accurate at all.

Wouldn’t mind swapping him for Lo celso or Ndombele. The Italian league may particularly suit the latter. Also sell or loan out Dele and he can take his spot and get another midfielder in eg Kessie or Mckennie

I mean more than that, he is technically a wonderful player. Keep in mind Juventus paid 40m for him. This isn't a functional yet limited player. Far from it, when Juve signed him he was considered the most exciting up and coming talent in the league, and won the young player of the season after only half a season. The main thing is to try and consistently get that talent out of him.

People are focusing on his height but it's not his physical attributes that made him such a talent. Rather his technical ones. I guess when you see a player in passing a lot of the times unless a player has a lot of pace blablabla it's hard to really fully see their qualities.

He is 21. If he fulfils his potential he could be destined right for the top. That is how highly his talent is thought of. Will he fulfil it? Probably not. But there are reasons to be excited about him.

I really hope that I am wrong but I think this will be another meh signing if it happens. He looked very good for Parma a few seasons ago but has been a disappointment for Juve. He doesnt really excel in any particular area and has a strange balance issue whereby he almost trips over his own feet at times.

If Conte wants him then that is good enough for me and I hope he comes here and finds form with us.

I personally would hope Fp would actively looking to trade Ndombelle for dejan as although Gio is injured a lot when on the the pitch he will put the effort in and contribute and doesn’t blow out of his arse after he’s rolled his socks down , just hope Gio can get fit and stay fit tho
