If people thought we were bringing in a Douglas costa or Coman type of winger that has speed as the main quality you are wrong, he is very much like a young Julian Draxler when he came out of Schalke, although he started on the left.

It's crazy how mature his game is, Compare Kulu to Gil when you look at the defensive movement, Gil is very similar to Lamela that falls out of position and therefore looks like running around like a headless chicken, Compared to Kulu, that most of the time it looks just like he jogs around, but he cuts off every single passing line, honestly mindblowing to see such a young player be that defensively sound and still not affect his offensive output that much.

Dejan Cloggersevki?

Bang on. That’s what playing for juve and in Serie A at that age will do for you. He’s very mature footballwise and positionally. Like you say Gil/Lamela run round like headless chickens but Kulu cuts off passing lanes.

Very intriguing prospect and good option for us to have.

Squad looking much more balanced

He will be great. All the haters will shut up when he scores his first goal
Thought he was gonna take the shot when he cut inside, but actually went (sensibly) for the better option - a shame Stevie B couldn't at least hit the target. Would have been a really great way to cap of a really positive cameo.

Big thing for me is he looks intelligent on the ball. Like he already adjusted to the speed of play and was able to create a couple of decent SOG. Encouraging signs for a guy who’s been here for like 5 minutes and is only 21.

It's like picking a random 20 mins from Kane's matches this season and making an accurate evaluation of the player
Or the first 20 mins of Kane's first ever PL start... (5-1 win over Sunderland... he scored in the 50-something minute and should have had a second but Adebayor made sure).

Not slow at all. Might look it but he has more than enough. His confidence must be quite low, and Conte will be working on that.

I think he is going to be a very good player for us. Intelligent movement, passing, and still has time on his side to improve all aspects.

From what I saw he seemed to have a sense of urgency and motivation that our previous subs did not always offer.
Excited by his presence and what he can potentially do.for us, definitely seems to add value to the squad

Kulusevski Is a good player, wether he can hack it in the PL, time will tell. What I’ve seen online of him is, playing on right and cutting in on his left and that’s what we saw. We even saw the curling of a shot to the far post. I love left footers, they have finesse about em.

...not good enough. Can you imagine how many penalties (hand balls) he would give away.

Putting aside critical analysis of a player we’ve only seen for 15 minutes. It’s all feeling every good at the moment. Excited for the next match and feel we can take on top 4. COYS

Amazing that he has been here two minutes, showed plenty in his debut and already has been written off by some.

It's not amazing at all. Exactly what I expect.

Personally a think he did excellently and think he will be a star for us.

He looked pretty good around the box, good shot and made some good decisions.

My concern wasn’t so much his lack of pace but more what looked like a lack of agility and the fact he looked very heavy footed. Hopefully working with Conte he will gain much more agility and become much sharper.

Im glad to see people sayign people are writing him off when no one has said any such thing - are people just reading messages and twisting everything?

Ok how about this

I have no opinion on Kulusevski - from the 20 minutes we say - I have no opinion. :)
I'm amazed by people's reactions..... your earlier post mentioned his lack of pace. That's all...not writing him off...not saying his a fraud. Just has limited pace....an observation.

Then another poster gives his assessment based on watching him in Italy he too is a heretic..... any player playing out wide you'd want him to have some pace.....after all wasn't this the reason so many clamoured for Adama Traore?

Finally there was a poster in here a page back perhaps who sees him as a GLC replacement. I'm leaning to that view. He could maybe become a brilliant number 10.

Pretty impressive debut and he would appear to offer something different in the final third.
Seems to be an intelligent and hard working player, so I look forward to seeing more of him.

Impressive, 21 yrs old, cool head, intelligent football brain, will get loads of assists.

Not sure what those being critical of him wanted. There was once he was a bit cautious with the play on the break but at 3-1 up with 5 minutes to go better cautious than to take unnecessary risks on your debut.

Looked nervous to me. A few chances where he was played through , he seemed to take a bit long on the ball or make the wrong ball. He should of got an assist though and looks good at cutting in with a good shot. You can't judge him on one game where he came on late on. I think you can tell he has something there but yes he didn't look quite right when he came on IMO.
