Time will tell. I don’t personally buy that he’s finished.

With that said, Kulusevski is nowhere near the list of players I’d draw up if we were targeting a 10 to play behind Kane and Son.

We should’ve thrown that £40m bid for Luis Diaz at Chris Nkunku. But we all know that £40m will fade into obscurity like it did with Martinez, Dybala and Aguero all those years ago.
RB value Nkunku at 70+ mil and already said he won’t be going anywhere next summer so he’s an impossibility. But I agree with your sentiment. Hopefully we manage to bring in someone quality this summer, not just a 32 year old Bale on a free.

I liked how this guy played today, he at least gave it a go, wanted the ball and tried to make things happen.

Feel he has something to give

He does look slow and the polar opposite of what this team needs... its early days so no criticism of him but do worry about our recruitment strategy - already sounds like summer we are going for free transfers so sounds like we have limited funds and can only take what we are offered... time will tell

This team doesn't need speed. It needs intelligent players and structure.

I think it actually needs a blend of both. We play on the counter so the ability to bring the ball upfield quickly is essential, likewise the ability to break the lines through incisive accurate passes is important.

We already have Bergwijn, Lucas and Son providing pace and not much else.

I would like to see Bergwijn given more time in place of Lucas in league games and Harvey White ahead of Winks for cup games.

I don’t know why pace is still a topic of discussion. He was never a fast player, so we shouldn’t ever expect it. But what we got: defensive hard work, brilliant engine/stamina, strong on the ball, quality delivery, and intelligent. Player.
