I feel he's forcing it.
Players know if they dive in on him he can beat them, but stand him up and he has no real pace or skill to go by most PL defenders.

Every time he tries to knock it past a defender that hasn't sold himself he looks so weak.

Still think he can offer something in a more attacking, fluid team but we are not anywhere near that.

Been extremely poor for near 6 months now. He lacks pace, which is a major concern, he is weak in the tackle and poor at covering back, beginning to look like an another expensive acquisition and can see why Juve were willing to let him go, way too inconsistent.

This season really reminds me of his time at Juve. Watching him there i really wasn’t particularly keen for us to sign him. Inconsistent passing, poor control mixed with bad decision making. He is snatching at chances rather than taking control of situations.

What i would say tho is that he is a prime example of the tactical and mental confusion behind the scenes. I would certainly not write him off and I’m sure we will see a very different version of him when we have a new system in place.

I’m not worried about him at all at present but I also wouldn’t necessarily be starting him currently ether.

Another manager will likely get the best out of him but for now he needs to sit on the bench because Danjuma looks much more effective than him. I still think we should activate the buyout clause for him, it's just been a weird season for him.

He's 22

22 year olds are inconsistent and have poor periods.

Nothing more, nothing less.

We haven't bought him yet
Should we, based on last 6 months I would be giving it a fair amount of consideration.
I believe now the deal only become compulsory if we make the champions League. The option expired last summer

We are tactically set up to be one of the least creative sides in the league. Blaming any player for looking bad in the attacking third is harsh. Can’t wait to see him in an offensive system.

When he made that run in what was about the third minute of injury and was just muscled off the ball for it to go out for a goal kick was just a summary of what we've seen from him so often. Easily dispossessed and not protecting the ball near to the level he used to. Before he was one of those players where the least he was doing was laying off an easy pass but a lot is breaking down with him now.

When I think about how we play now to how we played when we were seeing better from him I do think there was just a bit more about us as a team. The lack of Bentancur I think has impacted the side so much. We all want to see so much better but our regardless of how I may feel about them individually, our midfield options are so poor without him.

He’ll be fine under competent coaching. Ones who don’t insist on stupid wing backs who get in his way
