3 big chances created according to sofa. Don't remember the 3rd but the two through balls into the box were sublime.

Not bad when, by his own admission, he’s still not fully back. Quality finish.

Great interview with Deki here:

Hopefully he’s starting to regain that early form he had with us. Two goals already this season.

Improving with every game but I still think he’s way off that initial 6 months where he looked liked a young left footed de bruyne which is obviously an extremely high and unfair bar to judge him off. Maybe it’s rose tinted glasses on my behalf idk. I think his future is central though

I think teams just figured out his game. When he was new, and we had Harry and Sonny both up there, players gave him more space on the inside. He banged a bunch of goals by cutting in, and now fullbacks are doing a better job of showing him outside. Under Ange, he’s starting to diversify his attacks more. He’s starting to go outside a lot more than he did last year.

Yeah I can’t disagree with any of that

Having Deki drop centrally in favor of Sarr when we're chasing a goal, might be the go to switch in those scenarios.

I think sometimes we forget how young he is because he has been playing at the highest level for a long time. He is one year older than Brennan and VDV. He's had 5 full seasons as a regular starter in a big league, whereas Johnson and Micky have only had 1 full season in a top league.

Most ground covered by any premier league player in a game so far this season. For a forward that is phenomenal.
If you look at some of the highlights, there were so many times that we played a diagonal pass from the middle into space for Kulu to run onto. We did it time and time again. It’s no wonder his stats are like that, he’s bloody Forest Gump!

Baller! Works his nuts off, is always a threat, never gives up and got the goal his performance deserved yesterday as I thought he was excellent. Not everything came off for him in the final third, but most of his play resulted in a chance, a goal or a corner. I thought he was a constant threat.

He gets into so many great positions so often because of a good dribble or clever movement.

He just needs some better decision-making, way too often holds on to the ball a fraction too long, gets too close to opposition player and his cut back or cross gets cut out. Release a second earlier more often and he will get a lot more assists IMHO.

This needs repeating every time someone demands we drop him for Johnson “because he hasn’t got pAcE!”
Not dropped but rotated with Johnson when the time is right. Definitely going to be moments when Johnson is a good choice. It’s been a while since we’ve had a squad with different players that offer such different qualities, but we definitely have options now.
