Will be interesting to see if we start him along side Bentaleb, only issue with that would be that neither is a pure DM so leaves little cover, similar to last year with Mason and Bentaleb.

Still think we need a more defensive midfielder in the side, but Dele could really push whoever the starting players are in these roles. I love Bentaleb and think he's a massive talent but he's certainly not undroppable if Alli keeps playing like this.

Loved how brave Alli was today, dropping between the center halves to pick up the ball. He has a bit of everything.

What was most impressive was his composure in front of a big crowd and on his first start against one of the biggest clubs in the world. Against a midfield containing both Kroos and Modric he more than held his own, nutmegging both of them to boot. From the two public friendlies so far he's been far superior to Bentaleb, who has looked very sloppy in preseason, and I wouldn't be surprised to see this reflected in the team selection at Old Trafford on the weekend.

He seems to have a lot more to him than I fist thought. I was expecting an all action midfielder who would break forward and be a goal threat. I was no expecting someone with such a good range of passing, long and short, and the vision to see so many openings. From the deeper midfield 2 he could really be a metronome. I'm suddenly looking forward to big things from this kid.
