Dele is so productive, but he lost the ball countless times today and not for the first game. He really has to improve his allround play here but he is already vital for our success. What a bargain he is....30m signing Son on the other hand...

My boy erik was useless in his first season now he is imo one of our top 4 players

Give son a bit of time, I think he has the tools to be a success

I'm sure he'll iron out the weaknesses in his game. That can all be coached.

The rest of his game can't be coached. You've either got it or you haven't, and lucky for us he's got it in spades.

He's had brilliant games, average games and crap games, but every time he's on the pitch he influences football matches and that's a priceless commodity.

Exactly, hes 19. I've seen Ozil go missing for completely 90 minutes and than just turn up with an assist and everyone says he is world class. Dele has the ability and ill only improve his general play.

His first touch often lets him down, he makes some silly decisions but shit just happens around him. He is like a small bundle of chaos and I really like that about him.

AVB would probably never have played him but he was exactly what we needed when we were playing it sideways for 20 minutes at a time.

Still not sure where his best position is. I love the idea of him dominating CM but he is developing such an understanding with Harry I wonder whether it makes more sense to develop him into the best AM the world has ever seen (yeah, I've gone big there)

Is Son like Lamela now? His quoted price continuing to rise ad infinitum.

From Villa Pre-Match Thread:

Heard one of the worst chants in a while from a spurs fan just.

Dele alli, dele alli, Tottenham player is dele alli' and repeat...

State the obvious much!

They've got a point! I'm sure we can come up with something with a little more sparkle to match his football.

I can remember so many games this year including Palace away where the game seems to be passing him by and then out of nowhere he produces a game changing pass or shot. Special player and as he develops and improves the consistency he could be a real monster.

Standard game från Dele Alli yesterday. Lots of dropped balls, bad passes and poor technique....and then two match winning moments, two assists.

Not got a clue what they though they heard, but I've never heard any song with those lyrics, and certainly didn't yesterday.

Stumbled upon this one on Zuckerberg's website:
Oh Deli Alli's magic,
He wears his magic hat,
He could have played at Anfield,
But he said no fuck that,
He wants to play with Son and super Harry too,
His name is Deli Alli
He's Tottenham white and blue!!!

Nicely summarises how I see him -- often games do seem to be passing him by. Special player though.

One assist, wasn't it? Agree about technique though, which veers between poor and magical.

People expecting a 19 year old to play with seasoned consistency is probably the definition of madness.
