If it is just fatigue I can't think why he wouldn't play at least 60 minutes tomorrow. We don't play again for 9 days after.

If it's a knock or anything worse, then yeah I'd rest him.

Just shows how important he has become to us already that we are all shitting ourselves as to whether he will be fit or not.
Quite although i'd say it's more the drop in quality replacement that concerns us - much like the majority of the back 5.

I like Royal, but not on the left side.

On the plus side, the official Premier League Fantasy League site , when players are doubtful for weekend games they show a percentage of how likely they are to play , there are no warnings on Destiny for tomorrow.

Glass half full: It can't be too bad if he's going to be assessed and might be available.

Glass half empty: Shit.
Yeah - tough spot.

On one hand, long break until Chelsea, so good chance to start and recover. On the other hand - the extra long break is a good chance to get fully healthy - minimizing the risk of a set-back.

ETA - it helps if Davies is fit and can fill in against Palace.

Ange likes to start his best team and if they're not 100% take them off around 60 mins.

There's a big drop off from our first 11 to the subs so won't be surprised to see Udogie start and help us get ahead in the game, before making subs.

At least Davies is back if worse comes to worse.

Rather him playing then Emerson right back and porro left back.
100% If Davies is back then we should be ok against Palace especially as they have no Eze or Ollise.

I think Udogie won't play tomorrow, we won't risk him if there is a bit of a strain there.

I think it would be going forward we'd really miss him against a (normally) tough defence to break down in Palace.

Official site and Ange indicates fatigue.
It's no great surprise really. It's easy to forget that he is only 20 years old and he will need to be managed carefully to ensure he doesn't get burnt out. There aren't too many 20 year olds playing regularly at this level and he is up and down the pitch more than most players in our team. I still expect (hope) him to start on Friday though but I can understand why he has maybe been given a few days of a rest.

We've gotta remember that even though he's a big lad and plays like he's been at the top level for years - he's still only 20 years old. His body is still developing and we've gotta be wary of overusing him.

Can see logic in wanting to rest him and Bissouma in prep for Chelsea but games like these are the kind of banana skin we always seem to fuck up. I can tell the meltdown when we lose our first PL game under Ange is going to be horrific so am inclined to do all we can to keep the run going, particularly as it would put pressure on all the other teams playing over the weekend to see us 5 points clear at the top if we win

If Davies is fit to start I'd rest Udogie tomorrow. Or we can start him and bring him off around 55-60 as we have enough time between this and Chelsea.

As for Bissouma, if we have to rest him to avoid picking up a booking that doesn't say much about his discipline or our confidence in his discipline does it? A top pro should be able to go one game without getting booked. In an ideal world we start Bissouma (maybe both) and bring them off around 60 minutes if we have a decent lead.

we can't underestimate Palace. play the strongest team and hope to take the lead at around 60 minutes then we assess if we can bring on Davies/Royal to seal the win

It's not that easy if Udogies fitness is a worry. No one will be happy if Udogie gets seriously injured and misses several weeks/months.
