I do feel at times it's just that VdV is so good he gets a bit too complacent thinking VdV will clear up behind. It wasn't only that he let his man go but it was VdV being pulled out that put us in danger.

True was a bit slack from him but as you say he’ll learn, also he and Porro must be exhausted, if we had better back-up options and an easier run-in surely they’d be being rested soon as both of them must be running on empty after the amount of games and effort they’ve put in.
What is he 21, first season in the PL? I’d be amazed if he’s not mentioned for the PL team of the season.
To think how young he is, the amount of games he’s had to play and it being his first season he’s been phenomenal, quite happily let him off that today seeing as we won!🤣

1,000% mate he’s been absolutely phenomenal this season given his age and first year in the PL playing a new position, deffo deserves to be in or near the team of the season.

Three games in quick succession is tough when you ask so much of your full backs. Lack of trusted replacements for Udogie and Porro means they carry huge workloads for us.

Touch of the Danny Rose's (stranded up field when he should have been defending) in the first half but got better in the second. Started to find Werner with early balls which opened them up.

His defensive play has certainly taken a dip, I thought he didn’t help Draguson against Fulham, and in the first half against Forest he was played around so easily several times.

What was pleasing was in the second half he was not committing himself so recklessly when closing the opposition down and we looked a lot more solid down our left. That’s encouraging as it shows both he and the team is continuing to evolve and improve, and if we learn some of this season’s lessons and take them into next season we will do very, very well

Getting called out for their goal understandably but Micky made a similar mistake in overcommitting to tackling/blocking the second ball carrier, he couldve bought some time by standing off a bit.

As others have said hes so young, he has all the tools, just needs to improve his decision making which will hopefully come with experience.

Ben Davies is always reliable but a run of Arsenal, City and Liverpool is going to be an insane challenge.

Fuck it, play Romero at RB, VDV at LB, and reprise the dream team partnership of Emerson and Davies at CB.
