...and more if these first few games are anything to go by.
Absolutely. Was always a massive Danny Rose fan, but Udogie looks like something else altogether. Not sure I've ever seen a player at his age rock up and look like he has. Going under the radar if anything as he's just come in and done it with no fanfare whatsoever, but he's been the best LB we've seen since at least peak Rose, based on 3 games alone, and I don't think a single person would question it.

There was talk from within the club of the LB position being sorted for years with Sess and Reguilon. Well...neither of them have ever put together 3 performances as complete as Udogie has, never mind consecutively, never mind...their only 3 appearances.

Yeah he’s very different to Rose. Danny was explosive and aggressive; loved how he played. Destiny seems to play a more measured tackling game with far less aggression. More use of his body and positioning to shield the ball.

As well as his composure, I love his work rate. Such a good sign across most of our squad since Ange has come in

His assist for Kulusevski came from fighting to get that ball in the box and not let it go out. Loved the perseverance and we got the rewards from it

The best bit for me is that he has proper swagger, he is owning the area he occupies on the pitch like its his😎

Looking forward to seeing how he fairs against Saka.

Saka's going to give him problems just like every other LB. The interesting thing will be whether Saka tries to stop Udogie getting forward because if he doesn't, they'll regret it.

Udogie is a not a wing back or left back. He is just a top footballer, who has great physique, football intelligence , technique, positional awareness.

IMO, only comparable player to him in world football is Kimmich, put him anywhere in outfield, he would excel there.

Like king and bale. Not just good in their position but just a general good footballer

Loving him so far. He's just got "it". You can see when he plays that the game is easy for him. I love watching his underlapping runs. He's just such a joy to watch. Fantastic player

Love how quickly he's adapted. Saw an Italian Journo say that Vicario would be immense, but Destiny while good, might take a season to adapt, so I wasn't expecting much. Colour me surprised at how good he is, and how quickly he's taken to the prem.

I think it's as much to do with ange giving them the platform to try, without pressure.
