Is the rule that we can make a thread for a player if they've featured for the 1st team in a recognized tournament? Hopefully, I'm not jumping the gun with this. Think he did well today and should be in consideration for Wednesday vs Burnley. Physique wise, he reminds me a Hazard and that one touch to turn that lead him to being fouled really reminded me of Eden.

All I can really remember is he had one good turn where he lost his marker.

He did have a moment where his touch was too heavy and gave the ball away, he then track backed , blocked a passing lane and helped win the ball back after a defender knocked it off the attacker.

Fair enough. Tbh I was hoping to see more of the youth players in the conference - Markanday, Nile, maybe the full backs we saw in pre-season.

As always with youth prospects the real problem is that we drop them into a mismatched team in these slightly weird cup games. I'd much rather see him (and Dane) playing the last 20 minutes of PL games to see what they can do when getting and giving decent service. I know it's a risk but how else do you know if they are going to be good enough?

If not, send them out on loan to play regular football.

Nice for him to get some minutes for the first team and a good turn to get away that one time. Looks like he has a decent touch but think it's clear he is going to have to seriously build his strength up. Is 'only' 20 but thought he looked extremely lightweight in a couple of physical situations so will have to work on that side of the game to give himself a chance.

Im really glad he got some first team time, he has deserved it. He looked spiritly, decent turn and revovered well after losing the ball as mentioned above, however i feel sorry for him in a way, as there really was not much more he could have done, due to how poorly the team were in general. It was difficult for the young players him andgil to show more due to the setup and display by the whole team, but they both showed they cared, and had more zeal about them and that they cared more than the rest.

Not ideal circumstances for him to come out, but still great experience and deserved too with how he has performed this season with the youth team.

Is he really a striker or is he more of a winger who was out central last night. He did appear to drift to the right wing naturally. Nice to see an academy player come through.

2 more goals today vs ManCity u23s. Making a strong case to feature vs Burnley on Wednesday.

More of RW who cuts in. He recently started playing as a striker for the u23s and has been scoring for fun.

I would expect the first team to play there s
It will be a mixed team on Wednesday. We have Manu on Saturday and they will have had the luxury of 5 days to prep. No reason we can't give Markanday 10 minutes of game time, depending on how the game goes.
