As a retired dentist what does that actually mean? That it's hard? Some teeth are so loose it's easy.?

I might be wrong, but didn't someone say/report that he was given an extra week off? Or was that last week?
Yeah now you mention it I think your right, but surely that must have been last week or why would they even mention it? Or maybe they are just completely clueless.

That’s very last minute if we want it done in time for SK tour. Let’s hope it gets sorted before then.
The deadline is there
The structure of the agreement is what’s the block atm seem to have overcome the fee still hopeful this will get concluded we are working towards a week end deadline on this .
just to add to this we have been working the fee down from 25 million plus silly future sell On clauses and stupid add ons that Gibson wants included it’s pretty laughable as his stock isn’t that high that’s why it’s taking ages the deadline is set as we try to over come these issues .

I am still hearing it is done.
But, i am doubting that because they have said that for a week.
Playing Devils advocate, of the hold up is the structure, its potentially sell om percentage related.
If we sign him for £15mil and he does above average, any sale would be money in the bank for Gibson.
Didnt Matt Targett go for more than 15mil?

When i had my upper wisdom teeth out none of their roots were fused so he had to get a bigger pair of pliers and put one hand on my forehead to keep my head still. Wasn’t easy for either of us.

Just to add. On the basis of negotiating a 20% sell on percentage on any profit, it would be worth £1million to Boro for every £5million above the buying price.

Best case scenario for Boro, He progresses and becomes a great full back and Man City spend daft money on him to replace Walker. Could be worth as much as £10mil.

Probably more intricacies in a sell on percentage agreement than I understand, but still....

I'd like to have some of what Gibson's smoking

Sounds to me like Gibson is just haggling for the sake of it at this point.
Bell.

I don’t think that is wholly fair. Boro have a good coach, reasonable squad and, with good investment, they should be in and around the playoffs, maybe even a dark horse for automatic promotion. So Gibson will want to make the most of the situation.

That said, rumours of asking for a bigger fee from us vs Forest don’t help the situation and if they don’t get the deal done soon, they jeopardise their own recruitment.

Annoying, sure. However, I can understand why Boro are maximising their asset.

Sounds like negotiating with Inter then.

If it's the structure, then I assume they want more up front than we want to give. I can't remember if an ITK posted here or in another thread (could even be about another player as this was at least a week ago), but the post then was about someone being unrealistic about expecting a full fee up front.

Wonder if pereira would be someone we’d look at. Struggled a bit with injuries last year but could potentially be a great RWB We were interested in him in the past and Leicester would probably sell with Justin coming through.

It’s crazy that Spence came from Fulham’s academy so any money we give Boro is 100% profit so for Gibson to be holding out this much is really taking the piss tbh, deadlines and back-up options are our friend here as Gibson knows we want Spence and player wants us, there has to come a point where we say enough is enough deal or no deal . Looks like we are close to that point.
