Think this one is on Levy. From all the ITK and general noise sounds like he really forced this one through as he clearly saw it as a convenient way of solving multiple problems at once (cheap, homegrown, v.talented, specialist wing back).Spence sums up where we sometimes go badly wrong with transfers. Poor attitude that people were questioning even before he signed. Conte didn't really want him but accepts him as a compromise. And now after failing to impress, he's taking up a squad space and we need to ship him out.
What an absolutely epic waste of time and resources.
Problem is he ignored the question marks around attitude and how deeply stubborn Conte can be. He's about the last manager in the world that's going to accept a 'club signing' and use them as Levy wishes. And after Ndombele we should've learned not to go near any players that have a history of attitude problems. Never know how they'll adjust to a big contract or a different dressing room environment.
