This sounds a little oxymoronic; I don't like booing but Conte needs to hear it?

Personally I can't see how booing ever really helps the situation. Perhaps some rapturous applause or chants for Doherty and Spence when they warm up would be more positive and get Conte thinking.

Anyway, it would be better if we got behind our players particularly whoever replaces Emerson for the next three Premier League games.

Don’t think I framed my point very well. Not endorsing booing one of our own players! But hope that Conte starts to appreciate fans frustrations as our voice is important.

Please tell me there’s no possibility to appeal against the red card

Really hope there’s truth in the rumours we’re after Oblak and A.Madrid are still interested in Emerson and we can do some kind of deal involving them both.

Think we might see the atmosphere in the crowd towards Emerson get a bit sour. I don’t like booing our own players but something needs to change, and Conte needs to hear it.
Yeh it’s sad. Conte’s delusion picking him every game means that he’s getting loads of hate which he doesn’t really deserve. It’s not his fault he’s out of his depth but it’s also valid for fans to be angry about the club fielding an entirely inept wing back every week

I don’t. Last thing we need after Lloris is another keeper than can’t pass a football. Oblak would be a backwards signing.

By all accounts he's spent a huge amount of his own money on improving. I think the posts in here are mostly OTT. Go back to January and there were numerous posts about Doherty being our worst ever player. 6 good games and a complete 180.
Neither of them are CL/Europe-level. Its just a matter of which opposition we are up against and whether they have enough possession to keep going down that side.

If someone with more ability becomes available at the right price pt they will take his place. He has some time to up his game before that moment arrives.

Doherty is a wing back being asked to play full back. He couldn't do it and it highlighted his defensive weaknesses.
The turnaround came when he consistently got games playing in his preferred role. Hardly surprising.
Emerson is a full back being asked to play wing back. He can't do it and it highlights his attacking weaknesses.
If Conte left mid season and we brought in a coach who plays 4 at the back I've no doubt you'd again see 180° turn around on Emerson, and Doherty, but right now, as a wing back, he's awful.

He is utter shit. Wing back or fullback, he isn’t good enough but especially as a wing back.

I don’t care what Conte has done in his career as a manager, his stubbornness playing him constantly is absolutely moronic.

Here is an idea, play that Spence lad. He might prove not good enough too, but at least give him a chance! He can control a ball, attack down the flank and run which is instantly a big improvement on the fake Brazilian.

I find it so funny that when a few of us called him out as being shit after his first 3 or 4 games, we were completely shot down.

It was glaringly obvious from the start that he is an absolutely atrocious football player.

This is what it's about for most of you.

Validation.

Royal is only a year older than Spence and probably only 50 or 60 games ahead of him in terms of development.

Emerson's engine is incredible. Maybe the data is saying that he's levels above Spence in that department? Royal puts in a lot of effort and that is always alluring to Conte

That's the only footballing reason I can see why Conte would prefer Royal as an RWB unless purely he just doesn't rate Spence. Other than that I assume this is about Conte's stubbornness, not trusting what he sees as inexperienced young people, political manoeuvring with the hierarchy because he still wants them to sign a Hakimi and getting Spence to submit to him. Again though it is only 10 games into the season, maybe Conte will make the switch now that Emerson has let him down.

I think Spence was a poor signing but I think he has a chance of playing because Doherty looks a little fragile. That's something to monitor btw. Doherty did not look sharp for Ireland and when he came on yesterday.

I think there is more chance of Conte playing Perisic or Sees RWB than Spence/Doherty.

That's really going to boil some piss :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Yeah I agree that could happen. If it does it shows what a waste of a signing Spence was for this coach.

Spence might come good, theres loads of time for him to luck into the team but as of now, we've recruited a 3rd choice RWB for 15-20m. Should have just used that money to overpay for Zaniolo.

I know we don’t see what happens in training and therefore can’t see what it is about Spence that Conte doesn’t see so far but on the face of it he has all the attributes to be perfectly suited to Conte’s style.

He has crazy pace to burn and could add an extra dimension as an out ball for Kane to whip into space on the right to run on to.

I think if it was anyone else I would be a bit annoyed at that being a red

With him I’m pretty buzzing that we’ve got at least three games with someone else playing there

Might be a nice guy and good luck to him, but he is nowhere near good enough to be playing at Tottenham. Shocking footballer at this level
