By all accounts he's spent a huge amount of his own money on improving. I think the posts in here are mostly OTT. Go back to January and there were numerous posts about Doherty being our worst ever player. 6 good games and a complete 180.

I think they are hugely OTT it was a clumsy challenge. Still don’t think it’s a straight red but that’s the game now…

it’s just hatred that I just don’t get but then I don’t get a lot of hatred for things Tottenham.. support the club and the team. Yes have an opinion but hating someone who plays for us is just wrong imo

Yeh it’s sad. Conte’s delusion picking him every game means that he’s getting loads of hate which he doesn’t really deserve. It’s not his fault he’s out of his depth but it’s also valid for fans to be angry about the club fielding an entirely inept wing back every week

To be honest we already know how good he is. He's solid defensively, will get up and down the pitch all game but won't offer much in attack for as long as his arse points to the ground.

You shouldn’t fear it. Conte is a world class manger, and if he thinks Doherty is the answer, then who are we to ask what the fuck the question was?

You would have been better off suggesting the tackle deserved a much longer ban. No-one should want us getting players sent off as it’s detrimental.

Whatever your opinion of Royal, you know that red card was a major reason we lost to Arsenal, of all teams? How can you be grateful for that?
