They may play worse passes and Perisic crossing was pretty poor a lot of the time.

But none of them tried a stupid, flashy no look pass when they have the technique of a 5 year old and should never be attempting it in the first place. Especially as we were in a really good position to create something in a crucial CL match that may help decide the short term future of the club's finances where we needed a goal.

he wasn’t even at his worst today, but his complete lack of any technical quality is appalling

At least 3-4 players literally can't be worse than him in a RWB role. Even if they were it would be impossible to notice and it would have very little influence on the game's result. Don't blame him for any of the games this season (except one with red card), simply can't play in this system and that's all.

I try my best to be positive about all of our players, but this guy is really just not good enough. He's not the only one but he sees so much of the ball that it is more noticeable.

I thought he defended pretty poor for the goals too , a concern is if he doesn't defend well then he really is poor as offers little forward

Surely it’s time to stop playing him. A championship player of the year Spence can’t be that far off.. Tavinar at Bournemouth was superior to Emerson today and he’s been a lower league players for years

He can cover at CB but he got owned by Moore on that header and even though he has no chance to win the header a good centre back would be able to put him off balance.

I’ve defended him a fair bit, think he’d be an OK right back and defends decently. I just don’t think he is good enough for us and definitely not at wing back.
