He was much better than Sessegnon today thoughOne thing I learned today is that Emerson is just as bad on the left as he is on the right. At least he's consistent, I suppose.

Feels like this is a wider problem with the fan base as we love to show our negativity to anything we are not happy with.Let's be real , he is no worse than Dier, Davies, Sanchez or Sessegnon but gets so much abuse. I mean to the extent where people moan as soon as he has his first touch in a match. To the extent of calling him some of the worst insults they can think. Its beyond pathetic. He worked hard again today and actually unlucky with his effort off the post. He will always lack in the final third but the hate is embarrassing and just shameful.
Im one of his worst critics, but i totally agree with you. Sess was just poorHe was much better than Sessegnon today though
Yeah ? And Kulusevski is 22. The only one lacking brains here is Emerson himself. You cannot turn around a player who lacks football intelligence. And it is apparent in his game play. It’s fucking awful, he’s 23 ffs. Some of our fans lack brains and empathy.

Has any ground in the league had as much booing as we’ve had this season? I obviously see much more of Spurs than any other team but it does feel ridiculous at times.
We booed Nuno for the Lucas sub against Man United last season which many felt was the final straw in his sacking, and in the next home game in the League (with Conte in charge) there was booing at half time against Leeds.
We are currently booing/negatively chanting towards Levy to try and influence the ownership of the club.
From this it doesn’t really surprise me that some fans also try and influence team selection decision by booing individual players.
I wouldn’t personally do any of the above but it all comes from fans perceived right to voice their discontent as they please.
Not sure you can really class Perisic as a defender though - in the past yes, but now his main attributes are when of offensive not defensiveHe's not good enough and hopefully we can get him out somewhere this window, but I agree he's no worse than Sanchez or Sessegnon. I would rate Davies, Doherty and Dier slightly higher but not by far. The only defenders I have clear of him are Romero, Lenglet and Perisic. So although I feel the criticism is justified (regardless of his age he's never going to be of the required standard IMO), he does get more stick than some of the others who are no better. Sessegnon is a huge disappointment for me, he's just not kicked on and when Udogie comes in, I don't think he will get a sniff. I rate Udogie that highly and think he will cement his place pretty quickly.
The hate against him feels so forced at this point. Just people being spiteful for the sake of it. Yeah we know he's not Dani Alves, hardly his fault is it? Besides, seems to have a common issue of this squad where the positives are overlooked (him being why we got back into the game against Marseille) and the negatives become their definition.
