Already replaced - Moura.

Does most of what we bought Lamela to do without the requisite yellow card.
So you would have 4 AMs for 3 possitions, what happens when we get injuries and we have two games a week.

Also Moura does not track back or press nearly half as much as Lamela.

As I said many occasions mate, I am a fan and say it as I see it. Either way, and nothing wrong with that. His first half was very poor, so entitled at the time
Any other fan would get called up on it too mate. Don't take it to heart.

We didn't pay up to £30m for Lamela to do that. It was based on his 15 goals for Roma and creative potential.

Moura appears to be fulfilling a large part of his attacking potential. He doesn't appear to be fulfilling the yellow card gap, which is encouraging.

Two utterly different players here mate. And what is it that he was brought in to do? Create chances? He does that pretty damn well.
Two utterly different players? They're not, mate. They both play wide, run at defences and expect to either set up chances or finish their own.

Lamela has been largely diminished in that respect. It's not worked out for him in England. I don't feel he wanted to leave Italy and would be ecstatic to return there.

Moura has found a new home. He wasn't wanted in France and is very welcome here.

As a start, the kid at Norwich for one. Remembering he is a squad player. Perhaps even a cheeky bid for Zaha, who woukd actually offer goals too.
Thing is, Zaha will want to play, not sit on the bench and Madison is untested in the PL. Beyond that nether plays on the right. Zaha would be competing with son for the left and Madison would be competing with Eriksen centrally. Beyond that Lamela is our only left footed attacking player. I understand why some might be fed up with him but nether of those players are suitable replacements for him. Lamela loves the club and never gives anything but 100% regardless of being a rotation option. Beyond that I actually think hes good and adds to our team. But I also appreciate that some disagree and I also agree he isn't yet back to his best. But as I have said several times, I think he deserves a full season next year then if he's not pushed on sell. If you can give me an example of an attainable player now who would happily do his role but better then I may change my mind but I can't think of one.

I would still sell him. An upgrade has to be found. I appreciate your well considered response (y). refreshing.

Good points you make in general but as to Zaha, he prefers the right but has been shunted left because he is still productive and Andros is only productive on the right.

It’s true he played there in the 16/17 season and did well but he certainly scored more this season cutting in from the left. Moura is already a player more accustomed playing from the right despite him being right footed but due to having our wing backs overlapping Poch seems to prefer his wide players cutting in. Also, as mentioned, selling Lamela and replacing him with Zaha would leave us with no left footed attackers, beyond that, I don’t think Zaha would move and be happy with the same amount of game time Lamela gets. He would also want to be a starter and probably expect a starters salary and cost more then we would be willing to pay for a rotation option. Aside from that, hasn’t there been ITK saying he’s off to Liverpool? Can’t remeber now.

His lack of confidence and/or ability on his right foot is as extreme as I've ever seen in a player I think. A big handicap, because his natural ability and footballing brain are immense.

Dunno. Honestly don't know.

It is very Lamela-esque to burst into the scene just as the season’s wrapping up. God bless him.

Not sure what the future holds. Obviously a Poch favourite, but he never seems to get the output we need from our AMs.
