Good bit of business for a PL proven keeper.

I should imagine we won’t be crapping our pants in the same way we were with Gollini or Hart in goal.

Those recent stats indicate he has refound his form. From 16/17 to 17/18 he was one of the worst keepers in the league, after previously being pretty solid.

His saves to shots ratio in 16/17 was second worst in EPL history at just over 50%. My Saints supporting friends were wondering what had happened to him as everything seemed to be just going past him.

In 18/19 Saints played McCarthy and signed Gunn and then 19/20 Forster was loaned out to Celtic

Last season he only played when McCarthy got Covid and this season he wasn't first choice until McCarthy got injured.

Maybe the loan to Celtic got his confidence back up.

Now Burnley are down, it's Nick Pope all day long for me.

Doubt we'd have a chance of signing him, unless it was with a view to loan him out for a season of regular football & him knowing he would then come in to replace Lloris in the next season or 2.
