Some of you guys need to learn to filter out the noise. It's always been pretty clear that nothing would happen til after his holiday, just like Ndombele, he's due back today. Everything in the media is just posturing from the different parties. Just relax and let's see where it goes.

I really don’t know how many times this needs to be repeated ?

Bollocks. We’ve just spent £55m, and potentially another £70m that’s a hell of a lot of euros ...

It’s an obvious factor not an excuse.

Its a valid concern, but don't forget that Joe Lewis made his money through currency trading so we should be well placed to handle the current situation.

Not as bothered by Arsenal, just the fact it 'seems' as if they are trying to improve (it's debatable).

It's a case of wait and see, which at this point last year in the window was exactly the same. This year we have done business, good business let us not forget, but it just feels like we're short right now and scepticism should be felt considering what transpired last year.

Today/tomorrow I suppose will be what I am hoping will be, a lot of positive noise.

He says with his fingers crossed.

Most of the top sides haven't improved from last season yet. Arsenal lost Ramsey, Cech, Welbeck, Lichsteiner, etc and so far they've signed one player on loan. City lost Kompany and sold Delph. They've signed one player. Liverpool haven't signed anyone. Chelsea have lost Hazard, but have Pulisic. United have signed a new right back and a young winger with no Premier League experience, but they've lost one of their better midfielders.

As it stands right now our midfield looks better than it did at the end of last season, we've obviously sold Trippier and lost Vorm and (possibly) Llorente, so you could argue that we're down in those areas, but I don't think there's any reason that we can't replace those players quite easily, even if it's just with our existing young players.

In my mind I've accepted that GLC is looking less likely to sign for us now. And I'm fine with that.
That's not me being pessimistic, it's just a calm, tranquil acceptance.

Like the day I realised getting a tit wank from holly willoughby was unlikely to happen.

For those who don’t know, Gards talks a lot of sense, he’s been around for ages and his sources are also very accurate. I would take what he says as pretty reliable. He also seems to have quite a balanced view when he states opinion

Fair and valid observations. The window is proving difficult as well for some of those trying to strengthen when it comes to large valuations on players.

As others have since posted, I'm sure we'll have to sit tight as we will get an answer at some point. Hoping for the outcome we all want.

Pretty sure last summer about 2 weeks before the window closed Gards called on Twitter that it was likely no one was coming in and we’ll we all know what happened !

This is a great point, he wouldn’t have returned from his holidays even if he had signed.

Sess is injured.

No rush on either, I for one am confident we will get both wrapped up

Lol, I knew someone would say that..truth is I’ve been around long enough to know who’s more on the money in my opinion
Like last summer when us and Chelsea had bid for Zaha?
Also, his opinions are not balanced, he's always very negative about Levy and goes off on tirades a lot. I then think this affects his judgment and he's pretty biased so whenever something remotely negative comes out it's the end of the world. We then get the fallout in here which causes an unnecessary meltdown.

Anyway, lets see if Poch is happy or unimpressed in 10 days time.

I've seen him get loads wrong over the years, certainly way more wrong than right.

Anyway, why would Poch be happy? He's been led to believe that we've twice had a deal agreed for Lo Celso only for Betis to renege. Sessegnon is injured so is no use to us right now. Ceballos wasn't prepared to come under our conditions (conditions that Poch probably would have wanted as he doesn't like loaning.) Eriksen has't signed a new contract despite the cub offering him one.

If I was him I wouldn't be completely happy either and i'd probably be a little worried at this stage. That doesn't necessarily mean it's aimed at Levy, it may be more to do with the current market and other external sources. If Lo Celso and Sess come then I imagine he'd be delighted.
