He hasn't been a Spurs player for two years, this isn't like Hojbjerg who has his life here and so may change his mind and stay, Lo Celso can't trust the club, it might all change again next year so he is more likely to go somewhere he's wanted not stay where he is having to audition for his job after four years, I know I would.
But as I said that’s exactly the same for Ndombele or Gil or most of the other players who have been out on loan. I don’t see any difference in Gio’s situation. And as said, at the moment it’s complete guess work, you nor me have any idea what his motivation will be. He certainly put in enough effort to learn the new system to a basic degree and play well in 45 mins of football. Maybe that’s because he wants to impress other clubs or maybe that’s because he wants to impress Ange. If he doesn’t want to be here I’m sure he will make that be known, but he didn’t ask to be left behind to find a transfer. That’s all we have to go on currently.

Yes and the same goes for them, I don't suppose Gil is bothered about staying Ndombele is a lazy sod and Reguilon is a trier but Lo Celso has options.

Why does the word attitude get brought up without any reasoning behind it? It's such a tiresome and lazy label placed on players.

There were reports from the Athletic journos about Lo Celso's attitude that came out a while ago - quite aloof, rude to staff, etc. I think that's where it comes from.

Seems to have been fine at other clubs and clearly has mates within the group, though. He went on holiday with Dier and co a few years back. Don't think there's anything to suggests he's not a good professional - it's more a personality thing.

Probably just the club journos trying to justify our complete mismanagement of another player

I think that there is a perception that he will bust a gut to be fit for Argentina (where he has been a star player) but doesn't mind missing domestic games.

After four years two of which we didn't want him and got rid of him and some people are now hoping he will think I like it here I think I'll stsy? Not gonna happen.

He's only really played any games under Mourinho. For a player like GLC, watching us camped in our own penalty area hour after hour must be thoroughly depressing. I'd like to see what Ange could get out of him before we judge him. Postecoglou's ethos fits him like a glove.

Sounds like some conspiracy stuff but for sure some of the Argentina players (as we know with Romero) love their country but not sure I would hold it against them

I'm sure we are judging him and I'm not denigrating him as a player, my point is I still don't think he'll want to stay, I wouldn't if I was him.

If we didn’t already own him, I think he’d be a player we would be looking to sign this summer on the back of his performances over last 2 seasons.

The only real doubts that exist around him come from him having been forced to play in an unnatural system where he had no chance of playing to his potential. The cause of that - previous managers - are now gone.l and he fits the new manager’s ethos very well.

If he has bought into the new approach, the manager likes him and he is happy to stay then I don’t see any reason to cash in and then try and find a replacement who might take time to settle etc and not be as good anyway.
