Personal opinion - Lo Celso will never make it in the PL. I don't think his game suits the league.

I would rather see us promote some youth or utilise other first team players in that position.
What about his game? Let’s give him a chance and get behind him we need him now.

It's now or never for him to stake a claim.

Let's see how he does.
True, now he needs to take the responsibility. In principle Ange's system should suit him, we have seen good stuff in pre season.

But on the other side I would not be surprised if he is getting sick or has another issue right before the match.

I don't think many teams have an alternative as good as Lo Celso at number 10. And then there's Bentancur.
It's the decimated defense that hurts more. And the thought of losing the African CM guys and Son in January.

Not sure I want to be relying on a player that probably won't be around for much longer . Would love him to prove me wrong but I'd chuck Donley in.

Well now is the time to find out if he should actually be around for longer. We obviously kept him around for a reason and Ange has spoken well of him in the past. From what i've seen Donley still looks way to raw and personally IF Gio can't hack it i'd be moving Kulu there and playing Gil on the wing first before trying Donley or Bentancur in that role.

I think he'll be better suited coming off the bench. Always seems better that way rather than a starter. I think Bentancur will start if he feels ready. My doubt with Lo Celso is more the fact he hasn't been coming on. He just seems down the pecking order so I don't think he has been doing enough. Maybe 60 mins from Bentancur and 30 for Lo Celso. If he impresses off the bench then he can start. So far he hasn't even been off the bench much and hasn't impressed yet. I know he needs chances but it's kind of like Spence, if you're not getting them you're not doing enough in training.

I don’t disagree but I’d be a bit concerned about Bentancur’s minutes.
Ange said all along don’t expect too much involvement and he’s already been forced into quite a bit on Monday night.
They have to be careful to avoid a ‘secondary’ injury after such a long lay off.

Fair enough buddy. As I say, I'd love Gio to prove me wrong

I think that comes down to Bentancur and how he feels. He's played a half game when accounting for added time. So he may be ready to start. Ange also said Veliz won't play for some time and then he came on a couple of times. The players will at times prove to be ready sooner than expected. We do need to be careful with Bentancur but he looks like he's ready to start.

I don’t think Ange will start him. He’s hardly made any cameos when fit.
A few things have changed in the meantime...

(I kind of agree with you - but at the same time, with so many changes required - I think it too hard to read anything into past performances. Dier has barely featured, and we certainly expect him in the line-up)

There’s also Deki in that role with Johnson on the right and Gil on the left.
