Pochettino either has to have faith in llorente( which he clearly doesn’t) or sell him. Otherwise he’s just a totally pointless squad member.

I believe we've really underused Llorente during his time at the club. He causes absolute havoc most times when he comes on, and he's fantastic at bringing the ball out of the sky for a team mate. It also solves one of our weaknesses because it means Trippier and Davies can cross from deeper positions, and as we know they don't have the pace to beat anyone, and with Llorente on they don't have to.

I suppose for the next few weeks it's going to be Lucas playing off Llorente (if Lucas isn't injured) so we'll see how that works.

Panic buying a striker who will take a couple of months before Poch will start him seems pointless. Sure if we can get a top class player who we want anyway great. I suspect we will see Lamela in the centre plus we need Lucas fit as with the midfield crisis Dele and or Eriksen are going to have to take on roles there so nullifying their goal scoring a bit.

So perhaps a young very quick winger/forward who we are tracking or the promotion from the academy of any such a player, maybe even a young striker ... who do we have?

Another option is using Rose and or KWP more as attackers so allowing Dele, Eriksen, Lamela and Lucas to play more in the middle both in attack and midfield. Poch has after all been able to get players like Dier and more recently Sissoko to play in different roles. Certainly Rose (who started as a winger) and KWP have the pace and end product ... in fact there is Aurier as well so along with Trippier we have some options. I can see Poch experimenting in training with this. Any volunteers for the trench coat and binoculars to check this out for us?

looking at the video, fingers crossed too bad because he seems to jump up as the reckless tackle arrives. Its not like he's got his ankle trapped under his own or opponent weight - touch wood

Poch is really getting on my nerves now. ITK stated Janssen was his choice. He's back to fitness. Why the hell be so damn obstinate when we're struggling with injuries and we're paying him for nothing?? Both Toby and Rose fell out with Poch and were welcomed back in the fold. I'm totally bewildered by it.
It's clear Poch and VJ have fallen out, but tactically i'm not sure it would make sense to use him anyway. If Llorente was injured, I could see Janssen being a like for like replacement on the bench with a similar function, target man, back to goal bringing others into the game etc. But Janssen is nothing like Kane, Troy Parrott is much closer stylistically so it would make more sense to bring him in a give him a few minutes.
