I love Lloris.

But you can only get away with mistakes in big games a few times in the course of a couple seasons.

Unfortunately, in the last couple of seasons, it’s often a mistake on every big game.

Yes he has the odd worldie and is an all round good keeper.

But I think we should be looking to upgrade if possible.

People have short memories.

Hugo has saved us on so many occasions.

The same can be said for those who always protect him. I mean, look at all the mistakes he does.

From april 2018: Tottenham's Hugo Lloris has made the most errors leading to goals over the past three seasons.

And look what he have done this year. It's time to find a replacement. He's Gomes 2.0

All well a good doing some decent saves against mid table fodder, but when it counts he continues to not step up

Link to the replay, he forces Lozano to make a decision there. Tough fucking spot to be in as a keeper. Lose lose situation for me.

Lozano was away from the defenders. At the time, Lozano will have most likely scored which meant we were going to go out of the competition. Hugos decision meant if he got the ball he will have prevented an almost certain goal, and if he got sent off he also prevented a certain goal.

I just think he HAD to go for that

I think thats the part we forget. Doesn't matter in the end as we got scored on 5 min later. We could not get scored on there. A red for Hugo was better than a goal. Bottom line.

If he's not there Lozano can take one touch and be past Toby right in front of Davinson and they're both toast. I just don't see it that cut and dry.
Chances are he wouldn't have scored. Worst case scenario he does, and you've got time and 11 players to recover. Theres no excuse to come that far out of his goal in that situation for me

He's still a good keeper but he's regressed. A couple of seasons ago, you would've thought it impossible to find someone better who wasn't already at a bigger club, now I'm really not so sure.

Can't believe anyone is defending that. Lozano still had so much to do from there, he's 25 yards out with two (one very quick) defenders very close to him. If Lloris stands his ground Lozano has to do something pretty special to score. His decision making is appalling, it's not like this is a one off. He is reminding me more and more of Gomes, capable of great saves but very erratic

My view with him still stands, he's too quiet and passive IMO to be the team captain. Totally no command and control on the field.

As a club captain, he has lost it from his drink-driving incident. Sorry.

He's a goalkeeper. Save of the season means fuck all if you give away big games as regularly as he does

This has been my argument about Lloris for 2 seasons now.
He is keeper who makes great saves not a great keeper.
His mistakes are really costing us nowadays. We would be better with a steady consistent keeper than one that’s up and down as much as Hugo
