💯 this :( such a shame, he was a fantastic option off the bench.

Wish him well with his operation and recovery.

So our attacking options until January would be:

LW:
Solomon
Gil (back Nov/Dec?)

RW:
Kulu
Solomon

ST:
Son
Richy

Am I missing someone?

Gutted for Ivan 🧡❤️🩹
only the guy we just spent 40 odd Million on:):finger:

We might have him back just before the end of the season

Our own website says he is expected to be out for the remainder of the season.

Usually it's a year out of the game is expected with an ACL.

I really do hope he can somehow make it to Euro 2024..

This sucks for everyone involved, especially Perisic. Does improve Gil's chances when he's back though. Anyone knows if he's far off?

Gil has to take this opportunity to show he's good enough to replace him on the bench
Late Oct or Early Nov it says he might be back. We should be ok until then but he’ll have from then until January to show what he’s got.

I think he’ll look great in Ange's style of football on that left wing tbh

Terrible for him . And just as rubbish for us as we don't anyone else with his skill set.

Real shame as really like him as a plan b. Thank god we have cover on that side. I can see Son play that side at times with Richarlison up top. That would work against teams who sit back. In a more open game we have good options with Johnson, Soloman and Gil when he returns. Possibly even Sess pushed up as he's probably suited more than the inverted full back role. He would be down the pecking order though.

Hope he gets back for the Euros with Croatia. He deserved one last tournament with them.

Big shame. It felt like Perisic had been a bit hit and miss in his first season, but he was still our top assister with a very respectable total, and now when playing in a more natural role he was making some key differences late on in games with Ange. Had certainly hoped that Solomon, Johnson and Gil would have a few tricks to learn from him this season.

Sounds like he'll be out until at least March/April - unlikely that he'll be able to get his fitness levels back up in the final two months to make a meaningful impact but we'll see - I guess the good thing is that his main contribution was his technical skill in delivery/dribbling as opposed to relying on any real pace or mobility so hopefully he still has something to offer. If not, his career looks like it's done.

Real shame, he was making a huge difference this season. Big opportunity for Gill.

Really shit news for him and was providing such a key role off the bench either seeing out games effectively or providing real quality to be a difference maker as showcased against Sheffield Utd.

Always struck me as an incredibly fit individual Perisic so perhaps back at the very end of the season and let's not forget Ibrahimovic suffering a similar ACL aged 35 for Utd before coming back and performing at the top level for a good few years thereafter.

So gutted for him, and such a shame that it will almost certainly mean that's the last we'll see of him in a Spurs shirt.

Glad that his final contribution was such a positive one. We don't win that game on Saturday without him. Good luck in your recovery, Ivan.

Really gutted for him. I saw the club's post on Facebook says, "Ivan will then commence his rehabilitation with our medical staff and is expected to be sidelined for the remainder of the season" not sure if that is also in the instagram/Twitter post.

Next man up mentality hopefully towards Gil!
