Ah real shame. Weirdly enough, actually think he was somewhat starting to get to grips with the game here and looked much more at ease in an advanced position and with that great left foot, would always be chipping in with plenty of assists. Sad way for it to end but you'd think it's unlikely we'll him turn out for us again. Saying that, hope he can make a recovery and still turn out for someone.

It must be difficult finding the motivation to return at his age. Sitting and effectively doing nothing for so long to then pushing yourself for the daily grind. The recovery is tough, even for a young man but for someone a bit older, there must be somewhere in your head where its debated whether its worth putting yourself through it all for what might only be one last season.

Ibrahimovic was a beast until he tore his ACL for United. Had continuous issues even after healing and had to eventually retire despite his head still being there.
This effectively ends Perisic's career for us which is quite sad as he was becoming important, both as an experienced head as well as his contributions off the bench.
