Excellent debut. I really want to see him and Gio in the same line up. I feel they could pull the opposition apart together.

Completely agree. Gio’s defensive contributions are overlooked and I don’t think it’d be “too attacking” even in a general sense, let alone against teams that camp out in a deep block.

He played well and the more he plays and gets use to his teammates the better he will get. I think he has been underrated generally in the league, shame we didn’t get him a few years ago.

Wasnt as excited as some when we signed him but thought he was great today.

We look too open with teams countering us and im not sure if that's going to be part and parcel of our team with the personel we have but on the ball maddison + bissouma with bentancour to come is a hell of a trio.

Was great I thought. I noticed him get a little frustrated with what was happening in front of him at times though

When there was a transfer link with Saudi.

Now safe to move back - and I’ve done so, together with the other ins.
Don't forget about Destiny in the Loan Watch section, I think it's safe to say we're going to be holding onto him.

Just a proper footballer. At times, really liked the link up between him and Bissouma At £45m, could potentially be the signing of the season.

Yay I can finally say how happy I am he is here. He's going to be a difference maker in open play and on set pieces. Two assists already as well.

I'd forgotten what it was like to play with a proper AM in the side. Already dreading the moment he gets injured

He was very good and his ability to take possession while tightly marked and on the half turn is so refreshing to watch. Ties in well with Bissouma's skill set too.

And he was the only one to pass early and forward when in the final third, while others will need some time to get former instructions out of their habits because Skipp, Kulusevski, and Son were constantly slowing things down by turning back, playing sideways, or playing backwards.

As usual with us, or course, it's whack-a-mole in squad building. As soon as we resolve a creative playmaker position again, we sell a finisher.
