Could see him head off into the sunset to one of the monster clubs in Spain if he doesn’t sign.. and maybe I wouldn’t begrudge him that

Jan is Spurs for life mate.

Think we're lucky in that he wouldn't be a top target for Real or Barca. They have their experience in Ramos and Pique, and any CBs they sign are more likely to be options for the future like Barca's recent signings of Umtiti and Lenglet. Actually can't remember the last time either signed a CB over the age of 27-28- even Ramos, Pique and Varane were brought in very young.

Toby: 2 years left = meltdown

Jan: 10 months left = silence

He's now the bedrock of our defence.

Where is the new contract? Haven't even heard about talks.

Christ, didnt realise jan was out of contract end of the season. Surely the club has a option to extend for another year.

Surely we will offer him a new 2 year contract or extension? He is quality and too good to let go. Great for Sanchez and Foyth to learn from. Be gutted to see him leave.

I think it’s because all the rumors of Toby leaving and him not wanting to extend/want more money. There has just been a lot more noice surrounding Toby and he has not been with us for so long, so the risk of losing him seems bigger.

I has been quiet around Jan and he has been with us for so long that it feels like it’s just a matter of time before we announce an extension. I bet we would hear a lot more if it came out that Jan had declined an extension or if there were rumors about him leaving or other teams being interested in him. It’s honestly a little bit weird how there is basically nothing about Jan. You would think some tabloids would start a rumor.

It does worry me though and i don’t understand why we are waiting. But there must be a good reason i guess. I thinl the biggest signs with contract extensions will come right after the window is closed in the other big leagues. Thats a good time to announce extensions.

I think the new transfer and contracts team have been laid of to save money for the new stadium. There's no other reason for players like him not to already have been signed the fuck up!

Is his finger okay after that act of brutality by Firmino?
Jan does need to watch his hands, seems to be a Belgian thing as I've seen Dembele do it a bunch. Didn't Jan get a yellow against Dortmund for this same thing?

He got a red, he also scratched Torres' face at WHL a few years ago as well.
