What happens if Man City don't get champions league?

I thought they'd sealed their place already but looking at the table and Arsenal can still pip them. Would he still be so keen to go there?

If it's about going back up north, I'd say yes.

he will for about 180k per week
champions league is important to us and we pay less wages and players i think are happy to play for us on less wages than they can get elsewhere as they at the moment see us as a club going places and we are in CL, for Man City and Utd champions league isnt as important as they pay stupid money

Not sure if this is here from COYS yet:

I don't have any fresh news on this but it is inconceivable they could have done a deal with Daniel so quickly. Even if they had offered the asking price negotiations would be ongoing.
thats the thing that puzzles me and i agree with edmonton
for us to sell Walker Levy would want stupid money, England right back, on a long contract and selling to one of our rivals would mean at least 50m plus and would citeh pay that before looking to see if they can get value elsewhere

It's not really about the replacement.

The last thing Levy wants is for other clubs to think he has £50m burning a hole in his pocket, otherwise, every player we enquire about is a £50m player from there on in.

For sure, Daniel will be pleading poverty this close season as a negotiation tactic with the stadium build in full flow.

Hopefully we go looking for the replacement first...

If we are reading into this via the media he is gone. But if we go by past departures that pochettino has had issues with, said guy hasn't been on the bench let alone coming as a sub. Personally think he is being ill advised and probably an issue pochettino thinks can be sorted. He met lots of fans and spoke to numerous on sunday and didn't look like he was completely gone it looked as though he just needed some more encouragement to stay ie contract. The idea of it being personal reasons has to be crap as its only an hour difference.

Reports of deal done?

We should all remember how Levy does business. He will probably acknoledge a deal is on the table, ball park figures.

But you know what happens next. Drags the deal out, then pulls out saying the price needs to be more, changes installment values, etc.

This one will be dragged out for sure. Unless we get paid a stupidly inflated price up front. Well, we'll probably get that either way! :D

I love Walker - good thing is he has contract till 2021, so it would require big money for him to leave us. Hope he stays with us - he surely can't justify a transfer to City based on football reasons. Then he will just be a gold digger.

What I'm worried about if Walker goes away is that what replacement are we gonna get. I don't see many excellent right backs out there available at the moment.

Think Walker could easily justify the move with the fact he's been here, what, 8 years, just wants a new challenge, to learn from Pep etc.

On the subject of RBs, yeah there aren't many clear replacements. The one who would fit our style perfectly is Serge Aurier. He's so quick, and aggressive, pressing high up the pitch with challenges, and good on the ball. Unfortunately the reason PSG might let him go is that he's bit of a clown off the pitch who keeps getting in trouble.

Alot of KT's performances have come as part of a back 4. One area in which KT clearly excels over KW is his final delivery. Next season, if we revert to the back 5, it will allow KT to focus more on the attacking side of his role and with Toby to cover him, we should reap the benefits.

I'll be sad to see KW go, part of me sees this as 'strengthening a rival' but part of me thinks we will be getting a large amount of money for the most 'replaceable' member of our first XI. Rose/KT in a back five is more potent than Rose/KW imo.

If that's his reason - then I'm fine with it. He can go if he doesn't want to be here.

Agree on Aurier, but if 1 manager could stop him do stupid shit it could be Poch.

Other names in Joao Cancelo, Djibirl Sidibe, Nelson Semedo, Mitchell Weiser, Ricardo Pereira, Almamy Toure, Fabinho.

Also don't forget KWP even though i don't think he's ready yet.
