The most exciting yet depressing thing I've ever seen.

I’d welcome your full assessment of him
If nobody else does I’ll write something up tomorrow. But in the interim he certainly has the most potential out of all the CM’s we’ve been linked with this window. He’s also the most well rounded. He’s still raw tho so obviously don’t want to overhype him too much and obviously the level he’s been playing at isn’t the same as some of our other targets but he the kid is a true “wonderkid”.

As I said when we first were linked, he is a playmaker first and for most but he’s a playmaker that has the versatility to play anywhere in the CM 3. He would need coaching to adapt to the DM slot, currently he plays 8 and 10, but his positioning, football intellect and ability to read the game would probably help him adapt very quickly.

As I said before I think Barca had dreams of eventually setting up with Pedri and Gavi sitting ahead of Bergvall in their customary 3 so as to utilise his passing range, vision and ease at taking the ball on the half turn and moving out of trouble. I can’t tell you how much they must be furious right now. They must have had to move so many things around to finance this purchase. That’s how highly they value him.

Just want to give you some context that the team he has played with, in his youth, is Brommapojkarna (same as Kulusevski). They have a very strong youth academy by European standards.

Here is 13 year old Lucas celebrating winning a big youth tournament with his coach in Madrid. He captained his side and got awarded best player of the tournament.

Along the way they beat Getafe, PSG, Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid.

You know who else came through that academy? A certain Viktor Gyökeres... Shall we complete the Swedish set this summer? 👀

CM and a quite skillful and technical one at that.

Looks effective all over the pitch. Bissouma is better deeper but not as great in the final third so you could potentially push Bergvall further forward if you are not being so effective breaking a defence down as he looks comfortable in 1v1s.

Great signing and he will develop nicely knowing he can make mistakes. Having him, Sarr and Moore is every FM player's dream.

Been watching a movie.

Just seen the news and I cheered like we'd scored a goal!

Been following this kid for a while. Caught my eye as an exceptionally talented player, and a joy to watch.

Never expected we'd be in for him.

I'm over the moon.

No idea what he'll become. But hats off to everybody at the club.

What a signing. What a window.

Brilliant. Just brilliant.

FYI

If he stay with us and not loan him out during season 24/25 until 26/27
He will became to Club Trained and HG quota

however for season 24/25 and 25/26 if we would like to use him in Europe competition he must be registered in List A quota
But for season 26/27 and 27/28 he can be registered in List B quota until he above 21 in season 28/29
This is great and informative but we DEFINITELY need a HG rules thread. My head hurts trying to get my head around the rules and how they differ for Prem and European competitions and having it all in one place could help us all.....
