If nobody else does I’ll write something up tomorrow. But in the interim he certainly has the most potential out of all the CM’s we’ve been linked with this window. He’s also the most well rounded. He’s still raw tho so obviously don’t want to overhype him too much and obviously the level he’s been playing at isn’t the same as some of our other targets but he the kid is a true “wonderkid”.

As I said when we first were linked, he is a playmaker first and for most but he’s a playmaker that has the versatility to play anywhere in the CM 3. He would need coaching to adapt to the DM slot, currently he plays 8 and 10, but his positioning, football intellect and ability to read the game would probably help him adapt very quickly.

As I said before I think Barca had dreams of eventually setting up with Pedri and Gavi sitting ahead of Bergvall in their customary 3 so as to utilise his passing range, vision and ease at taking the ball on the half turn and moving out of trouble. I can’t tell you how much they must be furious right now. They must have had to move so many things around to finance this purchase. That’s how highly they value him.

I'd be amazed if we limit this kids talent playing him at DM.

It's actually unbelievable how quickly a club's fortunes and prospects can change with a bit of luck and a couple of good decisions. Rewind a year or so ago and we were going in a completely different direction, one that saw many of us lose hope. Slowly but surely we're putting together something potentially quite special.

Been watching a movie.

Just seen the news and I cheered like we'd scored a goal!

Been following this kid for a while. Caught my eye as an exceptionally talented player, and a joy to watch.

Never expected we'd be in for him.

I'm over the moon.

No idea what he'll become. But hats off to everybody at the club.

What a signing. What a window.

Brilliant. Just brilliant.
Was wondering when you’d post as I know you’ve been positively glowing about Bergvall.

Him under the tutelage of Ange coupled with the wealth of international players we now have at our disposal it makes for a mouthwatering prospect for the future.

Does anyone remember the list of ‘18 year olds’ we supposedly were looking at? It was some ITK back near the start of the window.

Be interested to know if Bergvall was on it

Even though they are a bit of a mess right now, not many 17 year olds (all right 18 now...) would turn down Barca. Says a lot about the power of Ange and it's a sign that Bergvall is a sensible guy.

I mean I think whichever role you put him in you tailor it slightly to his ability. He’s that versatile yet excels in many areas. If you put him in DM when in attack you would give him More license to roam and have the CM cover. Long term im not sure which role would be best as I think having him slightly deeper then the 10 is maybe ideal. Essentially it’s going to be an intriguing puzzle. Like I said I think him and Sarr will complement each other really well from a skill set perspective, I can see those two building an impressive long term partnership.

Cloud 9 window! With the talent we have in the pipeline I can only hope Ange is still here to see it all come to fruition. This is some project we've got going now.

A 6 doesn't have to be a destroyer type.

Especially in an Ange system.

Teams were starting to drop deep and sit off BIssouma knowing we want to draw them out.

We couldn't punish them for it because he's not a creative or elite passer.

Bergvall is a double threat as a 6 because if you press him, he beats you.

If you sit off him he picks out dangerous passes.

Wharton, Vermeeren, Bergvall. We seemed to be targeting a profile of a 6/8 who could pass.

Not just a great prospect but really balances out the skill sets at our disposal.
