Makes complete sense. If we got Sarr to fill the gap when he roams from DM and with our inverted FB I think it would work really nicely. It would also allow the 10 to have more of a presence inside the opposition box. Not only that it would have the added effect of pulling the opposition midfielder in different directions and keeping them off balance.

So you watch a lot of Allsvenskan?

For those of you wondering if this is just a YouTube phenom.

Great Wyscout clip showing his last 18 dribble attempts warts and all.

Tells you what he's about when he carries the ball.

HIs passing range and weaker foot are great too.

A natural intelligent footballer. He already leads their team at 17.

It's starting to feel like we have the best people doing the recruitment, along side one of the best facilities and great revenue. It all seems to be coming together. Let's hope the lad makes it here, I'm convinced last nights light show got this over the line.

He looks better than Frenkie De Jong did at that age to me.

I always felt De Jong looked superb at beating the press and gliding past players and his passes forward were very good.

But this could looks like he may be even more effective in the final third (breaking compact defences).

Basically De Jong looked like he could control a game from deep and Bergvall looks like he can do that and take players out of their defensive structure to assist/make space

That's a fair summation.

He has that Modric nack of drawing the challenge, scanning the defenders balance, and ghosting past them in one movement.

He's efficient and mature so doesn't cough up the ball in dangerous areas.

Not as refined as it, but he's got 4 years on when Luka came to us.

He's brave with the ball and takes responsibility in and out of possession.

In the fine honoured tradition of classy Tottenham midfielders we all love.

Not sure if posted already, but this was from the Guardian's Next Generation 2023: 60 of the Best Young Talents in World Football that was published 11 Oct 2023

"Bervall was only 16 when he helped Brommapojkarna get promoted to the Swedish top flight in 2022. Before that he had been captain of the club’s various youth teams that had won cups all over Europe. After his exploits in Superettan with BP, Sweden’s top sides wanted to sign him and he opted to stay in Stockholm with his favourite club, Djurgården. He joined together with his younger brother, Theo. Now 17, Bergvall has impressed during his first season in the top flight, and has made 20 appearances at the time of writing, scoring the winner against Halmstad on 30 September. Plays up for the national team, with the under-18s and was recently called up to the under-21 squad. It seems just a matter of time before he moves abroad. Olof Lundh"

If you stumble across this Lucas, no pressure son but I and all others posting in this thread now confidently believe with your signing the 64 years without a league title will be ending in May ‘25… COYS

Barca might be putting on a brave face in public but you can bet the players' agents know how much shit they're in financially. And now you've got Xavi leaving as well. I could easily imagine their training ground not seeming like a particularly happy place when he visited. Might not have seemed like the sort of working environment you'd want to be part of.
