Hopefully we're smelling the blood in the water and doing our due diligence with regards to their squad. I'd test their resolve with Lamine Yamal personally.
It would have to be one of the young ones, even their squad players are on silly money.

Can you imagine ;) obviously no chance in hell they sell Yamal he really does look like a total world beater in the making.

Barca are just a badly run club. I've followed them as a second team for a long time. They play great football and have a great history of producing top players. They suffer from an identity crisis at the moment. They do these crazy deals for big names like Felix but they also sign top prospects like Roque. It's like they can't decide what approach to take.
There was an bit of talk on Totally about Xavi leaving and one of the things that got brought up is that there's been tension between him and Deco who's now their DoF, Felix in particular got mentioned as a Deco pick rather than a Xavi one. I'd bet Roque was one of Xavi's to go along with the kids he had been bringing through.

It truly is wild seeing Barca in such a mess, it really doesn't seem that long ago they were winning CLs with a team packed with La Masia trained talent.

Delighted we've stole a march on them and nabbed this kid though, seems like we're packed with young talent at the moment & long may it continue!

They only have De Jong who has any real (€80-100 million) worth too
Balde, Pedri and Gavi surely all fetch €50m+ as well if they were to be sold? Araujo and Kounde would be pricey as well.

But given their likely salary issues and lack of levers in the summer there could well be a first come first serve fire sale.

Was hoping that we would have some news on this
Djugarden's next game is Tuesday. You'd expect that they'd like him back in Sweden and training Sunday at the latest. So I would guess they're getting everything - medical, contract signing, media etc - done today and tomorrow. And then he'll either be announced tomorrow morning sometime before the game or Sunday.

Has Ange made any comments in his presser
His name was mentioned by a journo but he didn't address it directly.

Also since more of his thoughts on the academy. People need to temper their expectations IMO. He's very much of a 'if they're good enough they're old enough' mentality but he's not wedded to players just because they're from muh academy is what I took from it.

Do you mean THE or OUR. Or is there something I don’t understand?

The/our is the same in this context. Just that academy players will be given no extra consideration, which is as it should be. Might cause some gnashing of teeth on here though.

Deco has gone from being an agent to a sporting director.

Perhaps there is nothing too wrong with that, if he operates in the best interests of the club and understands his role clearly.

But Deco had already been investigated for fraud by Portuguese authorities and the Roque transfer was down to him with the wheels out in motion before he even started the role. That has just created suspicion he benefitted from it. The Felix transfer certainly felt like a Mendes influenced one too - I think Deco was a partner of Mendes at some point.

So you have to question it all.

You have to wonder if Xavi has realised all of this and wants out because last season I genuinely could see Xavi being coach there for years to come.

I'd be interested to know how high up the list Bergvall was given we had ITK that we were after '18 year olds' and everyone assumed that was Nusa, Muzambo, Vemeeren and Bardghji (I believe).

I know Bergvall is/was only 17 but it seemed like we were after Vemeeren who plays the same position so was Bergvall a back up once he went to Atletico? Or the preferred option but one we never thought we had a chance at? A late punt??

Given how highly Bergvall is rated I'd just be interested to learn how his transfer came about in the end. Given the window is now closed, it would be amazing to hear more about this.
