Deco has gone from being an agent to a sporting director.

Perhaps there is nothing too wrong with that, if he operates in the best interests of the club and understands his role clearly.

But Deco had already been investigated for fraud by Portuguese authorities and the Roque transfer was down to him with the wheels out in motion before he even started the role. That has just created suspicion he benefitted from it. The Felix transfer certainly felt like a Mendes influenced one too - I think Deco was a partner of Mendes at some point.

So you have to question it all.

You have to wonder if Xavi has realised all of this and wants out because last season I genuinely could see Xavi being coach there for years to come.
I was listening to an Athletic Podcast a bit earlier and I may have misheard but they said he was Raphinas Agent when they signed him. And he's on big wages

He was but he is no longer.

He dissolved his representation. However, if he left Barcelona, he will probaly just get reinstated.

I’ve hardly seen any mention of what an incredible fee we got him for, compared to the price for Nusa.

Swedish anti-tax - They simply don't have the standing to command huge fees.

But to counter that, they're not spending five figures a week on 'cheap' squad players.

After watching the clips I'm more excited about this than the Nusa deal
I absolutely feel he’s a better long term prospect than Nusa.

That said - we really need some proper threat from the wing, which is why he was such an interesting prospect.

Arguably the single biggest issue to solve in the summer

On HG - if we loan him out within the UK, will he still be HG after 3 years?
Or he will need to be with us the whole time to achieve that?

We could loan him out anywhere and he'd still be HG for PL when he turns 21. However to qualify as club-trained for UEFA, I think he'd have to stay at Tottenham.

I've got a feeling, and it's only a feeling mind, that we're not going to loan him.
I reckon he's had certain assurances and from what little I've seen of the lad, he'll force his way into being a valuable squad member next season.

Got a feeling he's going to do a Sarr under Ange and quickly establish himself.

His highlights videos portray a sort of ‘break the press’ type of midfielder. If he develops physically could he be a bit of a Dembele-esque player?
