Based on the video released by the club we'd clearly been speaking to him and his family for weeks. Ange even says "Welcome back" to his family so they'd been before.

Take this with a pinch of salt. A guy who has good connections inside Djurgården (his club) mentioned he visited our training ground in the last few days. Also mentioned he has talked to a few other clubs in England (named Man City).

Might be nothing. But thought I’d mention it.

Yeah he'd visited before heading off to Barca. A LOT of time and effort went in with his family.

Is it just me, or has Romano been showing a strong fondness for the term ‘hijack’ in the last year? Maybe he always has, and I haven’t noticed, but it felt like he couldn’t get enough of it this window. Like it’s some super dramatic, Game of Thrones level stakes.

I kinda like that he visited both clubs before making a decision. Tells you he and his family take these decisions very seriously. Smart family and he has a great support network behind him which is crucial for a young player.

Yeah I think we will look for a Sarr alternative.

Bergvall, Bissouma and Bentancur has the 6 role fulfilled and even a combination of 6 & 8.

But if we want to have fresh legs as much as possible, then we need someone who can do similar to Sarr.

Winger, LB alternative and another CB I reckon.
i would spend big on a winger, someone like nico williams/kvara. for LB, i would go for dorgu of lecce. he kinda reminds me of udogie. big, strong and tall. for CB, the dude from bologna seems interesting. we also need a backup keeper. i would even buy a right winger, someone at reasonable price like soule.

Like all your picks but the only thing is we need to think about HG. I’d say one of those 4 at least would have to be HG, most sensible would be to ether ideally promote Phillips or if he’s not ready then get Kelly on a free.

I'm scared with what I'm reading about expectations for him. I think it's too much and too soon to think that he would fill a role in 6/8, that he could play alongside Bissouma/Bentancur etc.

I have no question about his ability; otherwise Barca wouldn't be going for him. But he is 18 with no exp in Europe's top 5 leagues. One tackle from an inferior but experienced player (Matt Cash) and he might be out for months/season with the mental burden that comes along long rehabs; think Sess.

We have other players who had spent years and are still not physically up to scratch for the PL; e.g: Gil.

Therefore I think we need to be patient with him and take it step by step. He will no doubt be involved with the first team but for me, it would be good enough if he makes the bench. Similar to Scarlett.

Djurgården football director about a partnership with Tottenham.

DeepL-translate:

Djurgården's sporting director Bosse Andersson has previously stated that there could be a training match against Tottenham in Stockholm in the future.

Andersson will meet Tottenham in London. Now Fotboll Sthlm writes that the parties plan to discuss more than just a match.

There may be a collaboration between Djurgården and Tottenham.

- There are lots of things that we have discussed and that is what we want to meet. They are curious to meet us, then we'll get back to you on that, says Andersson to Fotboll Sthlm.

We will discuss a partnership.
- We will meet in London, we are invited and we will discuss a partnership. Then we'll see what kind of exchange we can have," continues Djurgården's sports director.

A possible partnership could lead to Djurgården being able to borrow players from Tottenham.

- That could be one of the possibilities. A partnership can mean a lot, says Andersson to Fotboll Sthlm.

Oh my....remember when Real Madrid offered us a strategic partnership after taking Modric from us.
Would be nice if this turns out to be more than face saving PR

Lucas assisted a goal in his first competitive game since signing for Spurs.

The Swedish season starts now with the cup before the league starts in about 6 weeks.

He will only play half the Swedish season before joining us in the summer.

Didn't watch the game myself, but a lot of Swedish papers are naming him as the best player on the pitch.

He's going to be really fit when he joins up with the team for pre-season.

I read this twice as Fatboy Slim.

This club have a good record of developing talent. Could be more productive than our one with Real Madrid.

The problem he'll have is that his season will effectively be 15 months long, from now until next May. So he may be at peak fitness and look brilliant in pre season and the early part of the season, but he will have to be managed well so he doesn't tire out too badly.

Now I don't expect him to go straight into our side and play every minute, which will of course help, but the intensity of training will also have to be managed well by our staff.
