I watched him play for Fulham and was jealous. I thought that the fact that Fulham had him and we didn’t pointed to poor scouting on our part.

I’m delighted he’s been signed. I sit in the East Stand lower, more or less level with where he’ll be beating his opposing full back and I can’t wait to see him in action.

I’m hopeful we have a player who will challenge and one day replace the great Son.

But then I’m an incurable romantic and optimist despite all the horrors Spurs have inflicted on me.

Little bit near the end of this Guardian article , FIFA also compensating Shaktar is that true ?

Spurs will pay compensation to Shakhtar but it is understood that the bulk of it will be provided by Fifa. Solomon, who scored five goals in 24 appearances on loan at Fulham last season, has signed a five-year contract.

Believe POK mentioned that today as well

It is great to have actual competition for Son. Even if he doesn't start every game (though he'll get plenty of chances) his speed and dribbling against tired legs will be extremely useful for us.

Was decent. He was bright, and played a few nice passes inside to Skipp and Deki (I think) for chances. He does like to cut in onto his right, he’ll need to go to the outside more often otherwise will become too predictable. But also played a couple instinctive one touches, which looked promising. About the level I expected from him.

Don’t think he’ll be in our starting 11 just yet, but hopefully grows into the role as he adds a bit more to his game.

Agree. He also proved last season that he is a genuinely good option from the bench, scoring as a substitute in three games in a row.

There are loads of good players who need to start games to have an impact. Richarlison had a terrible goal scoring season overall and part of that story is that he wasn’t able to contribute enough from the bench (1 goal in all competitions v Liverpool). He was the main man at Everton & Watford and couldn’t really make enough impact as a sub.

Another example is Defoe who has the record for most goals as a PL sub. While he always wanted to be a starter he was able in a short space of time to change the outcome of a game from the bench.

You've got to be buzzing about finally seeing Solomon in our kit.
I'm a Spurs fan before Manor was born...I don't need an Israeli player to be buzzing...I'm buzzing when I see a pass by Glen Hoddle or a slide by Ledley.
Ordinary Israelis are certainly excited. All our games will be broadcast live, including practice games.
