This is not like the Njie Nkoudou signing - this is a proper winger. Solomon is rated in transfermarkt with 18m€ value.We are getting that value on a free because of a special situation.

We are finally getting a pure winger who can play on either side with end product…

Another super sensible move which makes me happy. Fills a huge profile gap in the squad which is a shifty winger who specializes in 1v1s. In addition strikes the ball very well with both feet and his touch is great. Not a presence in the box, but if he can beat players 1v1 like he has been excellent at and use cutbacks and distance shots well (which he historically has also been great at), it’s a top signing. Because again, he’s a profile of player which we don’t have and is one that Ange likes to use.

Less positive than others on this - unsure why people are so convinced it’s not just Levy exploiting an opportunity to sign an undervalued player.

Not HG (particularly important after we went for Vicario), promising but not actually that young, and in the same position as Gil who I believe has a far higher ceiling. Hope I’m horribly wrong of course.

He literally suits Ange’s tactics of isolating the wingers 1v1 with the fullback perfectly. He’s top 5-6% for beating players 1v1. It’s a very smart signing for a young, talented winger with good potential
