Shit, that is a concern. No qualms about his ability - loved what I saw from him in the brief time he was healthy. If he's made of glass a la GLC, another player many of have no doubts about wrt talent, though then it matters little.

wow 541 days in total in 5 years is quite a chunk. Especially as there are 3 longer lay-offs in there.
Yeah I never really looked at it before. It’s really quite concerning that he’s had three separate injuries that have made him miss 10 or more games.

Must say im starting to get concerned about his injuries. Last season he missed 17 games for Fulham, after tomorrow it will be the same for us. Looking at the bellow record isn't pretty.

Understand the concern but at least he came back with flying colours after his injury last season.

I actually think that the constitution of players coming into the game is inferior to previous generations coupled with the higher demands of the game we are seeing less durable and more injury prone players.

In short they've gone soft.

I think the mere fact he was on a free was reason for us to take a chance on him. If it wasn't for the free I'm not sure we would risk it with his injury record. I really hope he overcomes these setbacks as there's a good player there. If not we can get Werner pretty cheap anyway.

The demands are so much greater on players now than they were in previous generations. Maybe not as physical, but the amount of games played and the speed and intensity are much, much higher. They are constantly monitored now whereas years ago players would stop at the pub for a few pints and a pie on the way to games.

U go back 20- 15 years, a high press was somthing u didn in the gym, ok can u see Lineker, Gaza, Hoddle, Ginola being arsed with a press? Defenders were simply walls, aggressive, and ****s. The way the game has changed, definitely has affected the players.

Funnily it’s not the evolution of the striker that has changed the game in the last 10-15 years, it’s the evolution of the defender.

Out for a further 2-3 weeks. So only going to miss the next 2 games really given our next game after that is 2nd March.

Fully fit squad start of March? 🤞

Over the last few years we've bought an absurd number of wingers that haven't worked out for one reason or another. The one reason usually being they weren't good enough.

Solomon looked lively and threatening for us, so I hope he gets over these injuries.
