And it looks like we’re doing a lot to address that doesn’t it?
We’re supposedly in advanced negotiations for two if we believe the reports.

Im just suggesting we keep our powder dry for now because it seems to early to be complaining, not all players back in training yet.
I’d be shocked if there wasn’t big movement this week regarding signing a CB.
Unfortunately I would not be shocked! Hope I’m wrong I really do but this is THFC in the transfer market.
Was seriously pleased when Munn and co were announced and thought good we’re actually going to be aggressive in the transfer window.
Time is of the essence for the tour players to be ready and able to travel.
Yes Ange wants to assess them and identify who he wants but he can still do so on tour.
Put them on the market when he’s decided.

According to the WAZ, Micky van de Ven will stay in Wolfsburg.

Tottenham can't afford Van de Ven as Wolfsburg want over 40.million € . This makes it difficult for Tottenham to sign Van de Ven, with Bayern, Liverpool and Chelsea all keeping an eye out

Pinch of salt with that news but defence is one place we NEED to upgrade on with at least 2 new CBs. If we can't afford that with how rich our club is and the ticket prices then I just don't know what to think anymore.

Like a previous post. We needed at least 1 CB in before the tour and if we don't then that genuinely is unacceptable for a team that shipped 63 goals last season.

Wouldn't suprise me one bit if are funds are drying up and Maddison is our biggest spend this season.
Holding my thoughts to end of transfer window before i unleash my wrath about Levy again. Not that it makes a difference.

We won’t be “priced out” of 99% of transfers. Let’s not get it twisted the club can afford to buy Gvardiol even at 100 mil. Obviously the club doesn’t spend that type of money on transfers, and it would be perfectly fine to walk away from deals where the selling club aren’t being realistic (Raya). But being unable to afford VDV is a straight lie. Probably some sort of negotiation tactics anyway.

They are not saying that he will stay for one more year. Or, they do not say it as a fact I should say. It's an article with 9 "daring theses" (i hope this translation makes sense). It's just fiction.

That story appears to be from WAZ sports which has a massive 1,082 followers on Twitter. The lad who wrote it has 149 followers. I think we can file it under attention seeking nonsense.

This is potentially the most important transfer window in years as we need to convince Kane to stay and the project will be worthwhile.

On Jan 1 at 12:01 in the morning Kane will have about 10 pre-contract offers in his agents hands from the biggest clubs on the planet so we need to show real ambition to convince Kane to stay.

There is still a lot of time left but the way we've been handling the most important transfers we need to make is not inspiring a lot of confidence

Levy would probably ask Kane to be patient as our defense would be rebuilt before human lands Mars

We really shouldn't be wasting any money on a third choice centre back to sit on the bench. The aim of the club should be European football every season so this year is a huge blip. We want competition for places & should be buying players who have the self confidence they'll come in & be 1st choice. We need to buy with a plan that Europe every season is the goal so we shouldn't be bringing in players happy to be bench warmers.

When City played Chelsea last season, the City bench was valued at 500 million.

To suggest that Spurs with no European football would attract new signings to sit on the bench with first team experience just won't happen.

Self confidence comes from coaching, and that's one of the reasons Ange has been appointed. We are not a team that is going to spend it's way to success, and never has been since ENIC took over.

"Third choice" players with potential is more of a likely route than not.

The end of the day, that list could have included Kulu, Bentacour, Spence, Gil, and one or two players like Sarr, Austin, and the like who have potential to break through.

As an example Dier is determined to stay and would likely be on the bench next season. I would consider him as ample coverage for suspensions and or injuries?

The only way we couldn't afford Van de Ven is if we've pulled the trigger on the Tapsoba deal, otherwise it is suggesting we couldn't afford either of them and no way that's true.
Personally I'm disinclined to pay it much attention to it.

If he wants to see out his contract, we can't 'get rid'. Even if we wanted to terminate his contract, he doesn't have to agree.

Sorry, but if Levy paid his contract in full, (or by mutual consent) whether Dier agrees or not Levy could.

Just ask Matt Doherty.
