I feel this is madness, given our current CM situation. You'd at least think, he would be able to play the remaining games of this season. He's been one of our key performers in the top-6 matches as well.

Where do we get anywhere near that quality for just the rest of the season, for that pittance of a fee? I understand that we'd like to help him, after his many years of loyal service, but why couldn't we just let him go on a free in the summer?

He felt his body had gone last year but he did everything he could do help and was still masterful at times.

It appears this one is the right timing for everyone involved. So sad to see him leave, of course, but he's always welcome back at Spurs.

Awh man:( Going to really miss watching him play for us, what a player on his day. One of the very few footballers who can effortlessly glide past anybody with the ball.

Good luke Moose!!

what a sad day. I love Mousa but as others have pointed out it was probably time to part ways. Hope he'll be fine over there and that he got a nice last contract for himself.

Oooh Mousa Dembeleeee!

Yes, he's been a loyal servant, and a great player for us, especially during Poch's reign.

I know that especially his hip has been troublesome, but since he could play the first half of the season, you'd imagine he could get through the remaining 15 games as well.

I wish him all the best though, Spurs through-and-through.

We were so lucky to have him. Now let’s go find another one.

Sad day. Absolute quality player. A joy to watch. Combination of silk and steel.

Seems the right time due to injuries, and now he can go and secure his young family's future financially.

He was so good last year for that rough Feb run, he was our best player. I get the feeling we are going to miss that sort of presence this time round.
