Jenas was saying on MOTD that he is simply impossible to take the ball off. We really missed him against Newcastle, we just look more solid when he's there, especially when we are in front

Dembele is finally being valued for the dominance he brings to our midfield. Too many folk were caught up with quick releasing of the ball and end to end football caused by players like Bentaleb and Mason ending up out of position and losing the ball too easily. Now we have the balance we need as Dier's presence releases Dembele to do everything he's good at. We missed him badly against Newcastle, he would have martialled Sisoko imo. So glad he seems fitter and more confident, he deserves our backing. Great player.

Love him to bits, however sometimes I tsnd to see him he over does his drible and could pass the ball to another player. Still he is the man of the momdnt in the middle of the park.

He's being valued because he's playing well, previously he's was inconsistent for two seasons.

At his best, he's like Yaya Toure but with a better dribble on him.
Like your comparison. YaYa though can take a game by the scruff of the neck and scores often ... though Dembele could. Yaya though seems to take alarming dips in form what Moussa has been showing lately is a high consistency which could make him the player he has threatened at times to be.

Also perhaps he now has players around him doing the running, holding back when he goes forward, showing lots of movement to create attacking spaces and allowing him to do what he is good at.

As I said, it's when he's at his best. When he is at that level he can take control of games and have that finishing Yaya has. Sadly the problem with Mousa is his consistency.

Mousa Dembélé has completed 43 of the 48 dribbles he has attempted in the league this season (90% success rate).

Except he doesn't score.
That used to be a major criticism of Dembele. The funny thing is that because he's playing so well, his lack of goals is not an issue. His contribution to the team, I feel, is as significant as what Modric gave to the team; he links defence and attack very effectively.

It's a massive blow that he's out for 3 weeks. It's no coincidence that our poorest performance - against Newcastle - came when he was out injured.

He was amazing when he first came to the club, paired up with Sandro in that midfield. With the advent of Dier providing that necessary cover again, allowing him more freedom and he doesn't have to track back as much. He's not an allrounder that runs around all over the pitch like Alli but his power and strength on the ball is second to none, which we really missed against Everton in that second half. Sign him up Levy.
