Thought he did OK last night and should have stayed on. Made some decent forward passes. We got worse when he and Gio went off so that's on Ange. Still need an upgrade though. Kalvin Phillips would do for me.

Poor old
He has evolved as a player continuously throughout his career, used to be much less disciplined. Even though I agree there is a chaotic element in his play, he is quite reliable now trying to play the roles different coaches want him too as best he can. We know that he trains hard and is very eager to learn and I don’t see any sign of him disliking Ange. So, while I agree that he will most likely leave next summer, I wouldn’t rule out entirely the possibility that he improves enough to become a contender for the starting XI.
Mate, my condolences 😂😂😂

When we lose, social media is toxic including this site.

Some of the things I see are embarrassing to read as a Spurs fan thinking this person supports the same team as me and yet is a repulsive desperate cretin with no self control.
Its Tottenham totspur temper tantrums

I thought the opposite.

The 10 mins prior to him going off he:
- Flicked the ball aimlessly into the penalty area.
- Received the ball in one transition (where we had space to attack) and took 5 or 6 touches before making a sideways pass.
- Constantly gave the ball away when trying anything different to a sideways pass.
- Started to lose his positioning

He was playing with a rush of blood to his head.

We gained a bit of a foothold again after he went off but then we conceded that daft goal.

I dont want him starting any game where we are up against a low block

I disagree with your observations so much that I am tempted to watch that ten minutes with a notepad and correct you. I have a life though (and I am not a gooner) so I won't do that.

Suffice to say I completely disagree with points 3 and 4. 2 I don't have a problem with and 1 I don't recall.

What toxic posts like calling people “repulsive desperate cretins?”

Or embarrassing because you missed the irony of you doing exactly what you’re complaining about? 😂😂

I think with the ball at his feet he’s a good player. He has vision and has some strong attacking instincts.

Off the ball is really where it goes wrong and you could see that physically he just can’t move quickly. His body is stiff as shown by the few clumsy errors against West Ham. His defensive instincts are poor and that leaves our defence exposed.

He can definitely do a job but he needs to play in a 3 and he can’t be the one guarding the back 4.

I mean the ones having a go at Ange Levy and players. Frankly I don’t care what they say about fans but it’s the same people who were embarrassing themselves and us about winning the league. Now demanding we spend millions. And selling off players lie Hojberg as if that’s the reason for a spate of injuries and bans.

I said cretins and i stick by it.

Pierre basically cannot really play in this system. Very rare gives a first time pass. Usually 3 or 4 touches. It’s just the sort of player he is but we have to get on with it. When Afcon and Asia Cup are on from mid jan for 4 weeks our midfield will be Højbjerg , Skipp, Lo Celso plus anyone we might purchase. Deki poss go into attacking midfield.
Maddison may be back by end of Jan with luck. Eric back into midfield possibly.
I’ve depressed myself there. We have Man Utd and Brentford in the league plus a poss cup game and a free weekend plus Everton away.
Jamie Donley might just get his chance during that month.

To pass first time with any efficacy you need to have a picture in your head (or play with it up)
Pierre is (and always has been) a ball watcher, so has little awareness without taking the touches required to look up.

On the occasions he does pass the ball early/quick, it's straight back from whence it came or wide (if that's not from where it came)

It's not solely on Pierre but ATM we have too many without a picture and that just slows us down.

Don't think we've seen enough of Phillips in the last few years to decide anything about him other than he's good at keeping benches warm.

I'm still waiting to see what you have to say about the position you took that Hojberg has literally been the reason we've been shit for 3 years instead of bumboclaating around it :D
Haha he's fucking terrible. Look how bad we will be when he comes on. This team is so much better without him and that's all you need to know
