PEH and Bentancur seemed to have formed a symbiotic relationship, even off the pitch. Here you can see PEH gearing up to give Rodrigo a post-game haircut.

I’d love a midfield squad of Holjbjerg, Bentancur, Winks and…..Declan Rice. Sorry but I’m really impressed by him And it looks like he won’t get his move to Chelsea now. Hobby was brilliant yesterday, top class.
Winks is a horrid footballer and should be first out in the summer! Sponged off Spurs for way too many years. He’d fit in well at Peterborough.

Sad that people just want to rip apart some of our players. Winks may ultimately not be good enough but he is a Spurs supporting guy who came up through the ranks to play close to 200 games. Conte said even yesterday how well he is training. Think of the thousands of hours he has put into becoming a professional footballer for our (and his)club from being a child. He does Not deserve vitriolic abuse for that. He's given more to Spurs than any of us.

Sponged off… not even close, if he does leave he will command a fee into the millions that will go back into the club and hopefully help it to continue to be successful.

Thought there would be a fair bit in here about how well PEH is doing as well, destined always to be under rated but doing a fine job.

He has been excellent alongside Bentancur, just goes to show what having a decent partner in midfield can do.

Winks is so bad he was rubbing off on Hobby.

He had been consistently excellent for us in virtually every game before Betancur arrived too.

Controversial but I wouldn't mind seeing Winks in a midfield 3 if we have to revert tactics. Think he would work well with PEH/Skipp alongside Bents
I think we've seen what he can do now, and what he can do isn't good enough.

Plus he looks like he always looks like he's whining about something, it really irks me

Haters gotta hate.

We've seen it all season - Doherty, winks, bergwijn, peh, dier, Davies, son and even Kane.

There are some massive caveats in performances as well.

Doherty not playing consistently in his preferred position.

Hoijberg playing alongside winks

Bergwijn - injuries and a lack of playtime

It seems like we have to have players to hate on at some point or another. Even winks has his good points, but for me he doesn't do enough (consistently) defensive work. But he is still a tidy player and still young.

However hoijberg is probably the most unforgivable. He consistently gives his all and sometimes that may not be good enough (rarely imo), but give me him ahead of your lo Celso or ndombeles of this world anyday of the week.

What I want is talent and effort. He has both, he may not be as flashy as bentancur but he is equally as effective, perhaps more so.

However it's not a competition and with him, Skipp or bentancur on the pitch (or all three) I have no worries.

Compare that to when we had winks and Sissoko in midfield it's night and day.

PEH is one of our best performers, and have been so through 3 managers. I think he is one of the first players on the team sheat for Conte. And now that he has a proper midfielder besides him, it shows even better.
In my opinion he is one of the best midfielders in the league. We will be truly lucky if Skipp (love the guy) ever reaches his level!

I can’t believe how underrated he is in here.

Can't agree with the Skipp point. Hes not easy on the eye in possession which I think contributes to the fact he's slightly underated. I also think he could do with a break from time to time as he's played lots of football.

Good player, not a great one, competition in midfield is one of the priorities and there are better out there, that's not to say I'm not happy for him to be here and compete though.

Winks is just limited. He's never been the type to surge forward, beat his man or score enough goals in a season to be noticed. What he does possess is the ability to pass a ball, on the grand scheme of things that is the bare minimum a decent footballer should possess.

I suppose there is a reason nobody has come forward with a good enough offer to take him away from us? He's just not that good. I see him fitting in at a Brighton, Watford, type of club and doing OK.

Hoj is a soldier. Even on an off day he never gives less than a 100 percent, he doesn't shirk responsibility, and he's Mentally tough. Added to that he can play. An invaluable player who'll be captain once Hugo's done.

The ball would be permanently passed backwards and sideways. We need a modern day Moussa Dembele, who can drive forward, ride tackles and break between the lines

""We’ve eight games left, all finals. The other clubs would say the same, all finals. So, it’s not about who says it, it’s about who does it the best. That’s where we are right now."" PEH gets it spot on, it's not about who says it!

Conte on PEH after the game: "Also Pierre, no one asked me about him, but I think in every game he is doing a fantastic job, with the ball, without the ball, strong physically," he stated. "Every player is improving their level and for this reason Tottenham is going up and up."

Be interesting to see what happens when skipp back. Think holjberg will keep his place to partner Bentacour
Agreed. Expecting Skipp to mostly feature as a substitute for the remainder of the season — up to him to impress in the minutes given to him.

Hojbjerg and Bentancur have been excellent together. With us playing one game a week, there’s no need to break a winning partnership at this point.

Skipp is much needed though. Can’t wait till he is back to rotate in with the other two..

I'm with @Montalbano here. Hojbjerg and Bentacur have built up an understanding, a partnership. To break it up during this vital period might see some mistakes creep in. Right now I say we only rotate Skipp in at the end of games to get minutes.
